BT Vision - Boxing

Quite simply...is it coming? anyone heard anything?

I expect a promoter to carve out a deal soon. BT have an ever increasing subscription base now, mainly due to the sport. 3 or 4 sport channels in situ...I have just ditched my talk talk and gone to BT. talk talk offered me a crap offer even though i had done my contract term..... :wave:

The ball is on the goal line, no defenders or keeper to beat. which boxing promoter is going to pop it in the onion bag??.......

come on Dave Coldwell, VIP promotions?.....even meaty Mick H?

They've been around for a while now - I cannot see anything happening aside from the odd ESPN bill. The connection with BN is too great, I cannot see FW being happy if BT started to play ball with other promoters. It has never been on the agenda with them.

Nah - I think they've got their Boxing tonight and odd fight from ESPN and that will be the lot really.

With the amount they are paying for football rights I don't think BT have a great deal of cash left to spend on boxing. This said even if they did have the cash the main 2 promoters are tied up, there isn't another promoter with enough depth to their stable to put on regular exciting shows.

...on the other hand the 2 with the depth still aren't doing regularly exciting shows

Have to agree with you there. Would hate BT to put on boxing though as it would mean a third subscription.
