Reflects on the defeats, possibly coming back too soon, talks seeing a sports psychologist and feeling disappointed with recent comments by Paddy Fitzpatrick.

Good, honest and needed interview in my opinion. Thought George came across very well.

Regarding new trainer, he reeled off some names but I honestly think he will go with Abel Sanchez in big bear which if he does will be a great move. He needs to keep away from the pressure of the UK media like he did for the Badou fight and just lock himself away.

I don't think there is any doubt he will get another world title shot as he is a big name. Bruno did it at the fourth attempt so no reason George can't.

This must be so satisfying for Froch to read, particularly the bit about the sports psychologist and the fall out with Paddy Fitz.

George does need a new trainer but I don't think he'll ever be right mentally again.

Loving the framed picture of him in the firs image on the article where he's topless in a pair of jeans! We all have those lying around the house.

I think he comes across as a bit of a muppet in his comments. Fitzpatrick said he couldn't cope and he slags him off whereas the article is about how he didn't cope with the aftermath of the Froch losses. He wants to blame anyone but himself. Coaches, refs, judges etc etc.

Interesting, glad to hear he's staying positive as he is no doubt an exciting fighter, and maybe was a bit too burned out after those two hugely intense Froch fights ( as he was a relatively inexperienced pro at the time really ). Expected but good news he's getting rid of Paddy, who I thought was pretty useless with his advice in the jack fight - and that was a bizarre interview Paddy gave a few days later where he kept on moaning about George's Twitter account about 20 times in the one article.
Good job George didn't delete his account before the fight, because Paddy would've probably been talking about it between rounds too.

To be fair, that can be said of pretty much any boxer, it's a confidence/ego thing.

He was on sky sports news earlier saying he wanted Rob McCracken to be his new trainer.

He's clearly an animal lover and loves his dogs. That makes me warm to him. He also looks a lot more dangerous (as in a psychopath) with shaved head.

It's brilliant. What a place to have it too, one of the first pictures anyone entering the house will see.

One of George Groves or one of your own?

Groves has taken a bold step with his hair too. No coming back from that unless he goes the Rooney route.

I think he's been honest instead of the normal crap most fighters come out with ,I don't think paddy is a head trainer and groves seems to of gone backwards weather that's because froch ruined him or the training wasn't right I don't know .

He's got over being knocked out in front of 80,000 Froch fans at Wembley from the looks of it.

I still think he will be a future World Champ, he has the qualities to be one, he just needs to get his head straight. I never thought Paddy suited him to be honest with you. The best thing he can do is take 6-9 months out, and then come back strong. Realistically he will be looking at a minimum of 3 fights before he could challenge for a World title again. Would love to see him Vs Callum Smith in an eliminator.

well played, by the way, gomez, although what's conspicuously missing from george's mantlepiece is- a picture of the beautiful rachel cordingley.................
