Naoya Inoue
Just wondering what is happening with this guy's career? 2014 was a big year for year for him - three world title fights, performances that catapulted him into contention for the P4P top ten - and yet we're 3/4 of the way through 2015 with him having not fought at all and with apparently nothing on the horizon. Anyone here know why?

They love a bumper bill Inbetween Xmas and new year in Japan.
The New Year's Eve one last year was a cracker. I was hoping they'd of used that date again.
Would save me a fortune in overpriced drinks and taxis

New Years Eve is expected to have 3 other shows, one from Watanabe (Uchiyama, Taguchi, possibly Kono) and one from Ioka (Ioka, Miyazaki?, Sho Ishida) and a Hatanaka one (rumoured to be Tanaka vs Takayama)PredatorHayds wrote:They love a bumper bill Inbetween Xmas and new year in Japan.

Don't think he actually did retire just...considered his future, he beat some Indonesian nobody a few weeks agoCounter-puncher wrote:Yaegashi un-retired then? hmm.Boxing Prospect wrote:Rumour that Yaegashi vs Mendoza and Matsumoto vs Hernandez Will be on the same card with Takuma Inoue as well

Absolutely great idea. These shows at this time.Boxing Prospect wrote:New Years Eve is expected to have 3 other shows, one from Watanabe (Uchiyama, Taguchi, possibly Kono) and one from Ioka (Ioka, Miyazaki?, Sho Ishida) and a Hatanaka one (rumoured to be Tanaka vs Takayama)PredatorHayds wrote:They love a bumper bill Inbetween Xmas and new year in Japan.

Watching a fight in Japan at this time of year is firmly in my bucket list top 10.
Preferably the Uchiyama bill as he's someone who keeps growing on me.
I try and stay away from P4P list debates now I get a bit trigger happy throwing the great Super-Feather in there.
Re: Naoya Inoue
From what I have seen of him he looks the part, though I have to question if Narveaz was in Japan for his pension he looked well out of his depth for a long reigning champion. Never the less the way Inoue beat him was very impressive.
