has mike perez retired after loosing to povetkin in quick dramatic fashion?

Hope not. He was a good fighter when he was in shape.
Getting outclassed by Povetkin isn't anything to be ashamed of.
He's still a top 20 heavyweight with potential to make money.

Nope. He's still training, no plans to retire.

If it's only been 5 months and change since the last time a 29-year-old fighter has fought, I think it's awfully premature to ask if he's retired unless he's actually said he's retiring, or unless he got in a life-threatening motorcycle accident or something.
