ronnie clark v anthony cacace
Re: ronnie clark v anthony cacace
Yeah mate he said cacace was massive, just when he was putting the lead arm out the whole fight he couldn't get near, that's where Howard foster has a job to do. He leaned on him a lot and he carried the weight, the footage will show cacace for me was 3 rounds up but Ronnie rocked him in the 3rd and the 9th was having a good 10, he said he took risks to try and bring cacace into a fight but he was so set in his game plan and wasn't emotional and wanted no part in a brawl. He was very good fighter and will 100% go to a higher level. Ronnie has a lot of things to re evaluate before he fights again. Boxing is brutal and to be honest I feel as if he gets used a lot, I will name no names but Ronnie done his best to help everyone in build up for fights etc but money talks and you no the rest he was dropped . a nicer guy you will not meet who gives his all for boxing, he's a character yes but he will never be known as someone who picked his fights and ducked anyone. Unbeaten fighters throughout his career, was never outclassed and to be quite honest he done it all without an onsite trainer. I am proud of what he does and if people knew all the circumstances they would be amazed:)
Re: ronnie clark v anthony cacace
Cacacae was easily over 11stone come fight time with Ronnie around 10 stone its a lot of weight to give away at that level. I agree about featherweight and have always said this. I thought Cacacae tactics although horrible and not to what I like in boxing was spot on. If the referee is not on top of infringements then keep doing it.. The shot came out of nowhere it looked like cacacae was just about to be stopped then a cracker fair play to keep it together in the last round. It was in my eyes the best way to lose the fight totally out on his shield and what a warrior his legs were gone and he still tried to fire back. I would of preferred it stopped 5 secs before it did but that shows Ronnies character wouldn't even take a knee

Re: ronnie clark v anthony cacace
Just watched it again there, good fight, competitive until the end
Re: ronnie clark v anthony cacace
Just watched it, good fight, Cacace started to take over after round 5, he was a bit bigger but more than anything he was just better technically than Clark, the difference in the backgrounds of the two fighters showed more as the fight went on and Clark's toughness, determination and workrate wasn't enough to overcome it.
Not sure what the complaints about the ref are about, didn't see any issue with how he refereed the fight, both fighters warned a couple of times, Cacace for sticking the head in and holding his left hand out, Clark for something that went on in a clinch, couldn't tell whether he had said something or pushed the head in, then again later on for using the elbow, nothing in there worthy of a point being taken off and he got the stoppage spot on.

Re: ronnie clark v anthony cacace
No complaints over the result, Alex Arthur keeps mentioning how cacace was pawing out the left hand and leaving it out, it's not a jab and it went on the whole fight. He was warned every time for it. We are not bitter over it and don't wanna come across it, better fighter on the night won. Ronnie did great and it's a wake up call as for me he should be at 9 stone. Just not big enough for the weight, no joke cacace was over 11 stone surely, size of josh Taylor, good luck to them and we hope they get their title shots as he's gonna be hard to beat.

Josh Taylor Looks The Real Deal.Shame He Didn't Get Rounds.Opponent Didn't Want To Know.Great Atmosphere.
Re: ronnie clark v anthony cacace
The left jab was just left out most of the fight not thrown as a jab. Few hits in the break use of head.. Its done every round. No complaints the better fighter won. Cacacae done what he needed to do. The biggest complaint I have is boxing in general both weighed in 9stone 4lbs ... The weight gain by Cacacae is 2 stone yes is clearly around a stone bigger than Ronnie. Boxing should address this should be a maximum of 1 stone or weigh in on dayexpe wrote:Just watched it, good fight, Cacace started to take over after round 5, he was a bit bigger but more than anything he was just better technically than Clark, the difference in the backgrounds of the two fighters showed more as the fight went on and Clark's toughness, determination and workrate wasn't enough to overcome it.

Re: ronnie clark v anthony cacace
He pushed the hand out a lot, which is perfectly fine, he can throw the jab at whatever pace he likes, probably left it out there a fraction too long sometimes but it was nothing major.daviddee wrote:The left jab was just left out most of the fight not thrown as a jab. There is absolutely no way that Cacace put on 2 stone after the weigh in, he'd have to be some sort of freak of nature to do that. He's clearly big at the weight but it looked more height and reach wise than him rehydrating huge amounts, he's tall for the weight but not really heavily built, I've seen plenty of bigger super featherweights before.
Re: ronnie clark v anthony cacace
No chance you have seen a bigger super feather, when Alex Arthur is saying your massive for the weight that's when you know. On the night u see clearer him pawing the hand out, it wasn't ideal, ronnie will learn from it and come back stronger. He's mentally strong guy and went for it in last round,
Re: ronnie clark v anthony cacace
100% he's over 11 stone when the fight started. I would say closer to 11 stone 7lbs. I've not seen a bigger Super Feather. Ricky was probably the biggest and was never in that kind of condition size wise. Anto looked bigger than. Josh Taylor. He's a freak of nature or they have some very smart ways of rehydrating. Come on mate you can't just hold your left hand out to stop someone attacking. Seen the klitsckos warned about it many times. Also seen fighters get points off for doing itexpe wrote:He pushed the hand out a lot, which is perfectly fine, he can throw the jab at whatever pace he likes, probably left it out there a fraction too long sometimes but it was nothing major.daviddee wrote:The left jab was just left out most of the fight not thrown as a jab. FWIW whilst obviously Cacace is very tall at the weight I didn't think his shoulders/back etc looked that big. 11st wouldn't be out of the question but i would struggle to see him putting on 30lbs to get to 160 like you're saying mate.

Re: ronnie clark v anthony cacace
In this country alone there's Ricky Burns, Stephen Smith and Liam Walsh that are/were bigger than Cacace, Arthur himself was probably bigger too, then once you look outside Britain there's more too.JamieM wrote:No chance you have seen a bigger super feather, when Alex Arthur is saying your massive for the weight that's when you know. None of those fighters are bigger on the night. Smith is same as Ronnie. Walsh and Arthur a little bigger. Burns is as big in height but not build.. I know you're trying to make excuses for your brother losing but you could at least come up with some decent ones that people might actually believe.daviddee wrote:None of those fighters are bigger on the night. Re: ronnie clark v anthony cacace
How is cacace being bigger an excuse? He hasn't broke any rules, it's a fact! Were you at the fight? He was massive! I don't think the weight David saying is maybe bang on but he was close or over 11 stone. Anthony told me he took on around 10 litres of water after the weigh in, that gives an idea on his rehydration plan, he's around 5"11 . Liam Walsh is bigger than him? Wow, Ryan Walsh is proberly bigger than Liam. He's around same height as Ricky who had no build was just long. No shame in losing to Anthony he is a great fighter and to go with it he's a top man who really has a good chance to do something with a great team behind him. Ronnie done what he could but unfortunately these things happen. Guys on here who know myself will tell you a spade is a spade, when Billy talked rubbish I would openly laugh. I had Ronnie down by 3. He could have coasted a points defeat but put it on line chasing the victory and against class fighters making fundamental errors you don't get away with it. Belts are for holding your trousers up. I'm proud of what Ronnie has done, had 7 amateur fights. Kickboxing background. Came into pros and didn't refuse anyone. Been in with very good fighters and never once been outclassed always gave as good as he got. Few dodgy decisions but every fighter he's been in with he commanded there respect. Does it all with very little resources and a city who offers very little and a country who would drop you for cash and don't help each other. There's a lot of reasons and excuses we could use but for this fight there is none, the better fighter won..
Re: ronnie clark v anthony cacace
No excuses he lost to the better man on the night. If he's to small for the weight he should be at feather so its no excuse its factexpe wrote:I know you're trying to make excuses for your brother losing but you could at least come up with some decent ones that people might actually believe.daviddee wrote:[quote="
