Lemieux is fighting how I feared he would.......too timid, moving back too much. GGG is very composed and working well with the jab.

lemx looking more deperate in 3rd but still not landing.
GGG still landing jabs and boxing and moving.
GGG looked like he was either overly cautious and measuring
or carrying lemx
in 4th lemx looks hurt but GGG still not pressuring him

GGG lands his hardest shots of fight around 1:30 mark, continues hunting and hurting Lemieux for next 30 seconds. Biggest shots so far

Easy round 40-36

GGG drops him with body shot. And then lands shot to head with Lemieux on one knee. Ref lets him get away

Lemieux woken up from knockdown he comes back with his best round of the fight. If you're looking for a round to give him this would be the one , though I still have GGG getting the edge in the round

Was GGG shaken for a moment? I would've liked to see a replay.

Still a GGG round.

Ref calls time to look at Lemieux. Nose is bleeding
Before calling time. Ref asking for David to show him something, odd as though he's losing, the last 2 rounds have been his best , huge right by GGG. Lemieuxs face is a mess, over the last minute David has Slowed down and thrown very little

Lemieux is taking a helluva beating , Golovkin could remain at distance and win using the jab but chooses to go for the KO !

Exciting stuff !!

accumulation of GGG jabs makes ref have dr look at lmx face during 7th.
lmx land a body shot and good left hook, then GG started unloading
on lmx like he was going for the KO. lmx survives 7th.

Ref stops fight. Looked like he was adamant he'd seen enough. A couple hard shots and jabs backing David up and ref moves between the fighters

Lemieux not hurt, but easily beaten every round and his face showing it.

Very one sided fight

GGG murders Cotto, Canelo, Quillin & Lee.

Hell he'd probably murder Ward too.

I thought that was outstanding tonight by Golovkin. Lemieux tried hard but barely landed more than one meaningful shot. Outstanding boxing from Golovkin. People have been going on about Gonzalez as P4P number one but Golovkin is bang there as well. Unlike some previous fights he showed Lemieux respect and showed how well he can box. Brilliant.

Great jab and a number of very good body shots dismantled Lemieux throughout, good stoppage in a one sided bout.
GGG is going to be extremely difficult to beat.

In my opinion GGG clearly paid more attention to defense against Lemieux than he has against previous opponents, so I think it's probably true that people like Murray and Monroe hit him as much as they did because he didn't respect their power. His jab also looked excellent and he used it more than usual.

Lemieux showed heart and a good chin but I think he fought the wrong fight....not that he would've come close to winning anyway.

How embarrassing is it when reeling off all the titles that GGG has and then you have to throw in the bullshit interim WBC...

Great performance though.

lmx looked at ref like he was going to quit after the same liver shot
that dropped him in 5th. ref let it go a little longer but lmx not fighting
back. i could maybe see GGG fighting lee before cotto-canelo winner.

The Monroe fight I thought GGG was just playing with him, he was getting hit , but seemed like he just wanted to engage and make right exciting. GGG can box and show defense when he wants.
