For Sale: David Haye's Boxing Ring

Post by Boxerbeetle »

David Haye is selling the boxing ring from his gym, bidding starts at 5k...Does this mean he's finally packing up his career alongside it? :o

It would have been a nice gesture if he gave it a local gym. He probably had it paid for by sponsors anyway.

I agree.

Ironically, if he had given the ting away to an amateur club he would have received more than 5 grands worth of publicity (as his PR people would surely have ensured that the media knew all about it).

A relief that David's selling his boxing ring rather than his anal ring......
I believe the Fitzroy Lodge (Haye's old club) is only 5 minutes away. Not sure if they need a ring mind.

Maybe it was at one time, or still is, his ring, but i doubt he has anything to do with the selling of it. If he does then he must be a right greedy c*nt :DD

Well he tweeted out a video of him advertising it and linking to the eBay page, so I imagine he is quite involved in it

I would doubt if he is personally profiting from it, if he is however, then he is a greedier prick than I thought.

Hmmm, looking at his tweet and the ebay ad, i think the Haymaker believes this could go for quite a substantial sum, thats got to be it, otherwise i cant see why a person of his wealth would go to such legnths to pimp his ring for just a few k.

Yep. I just don't want to be too accusatory and finger pointing. And yes it's a damn shame. At Billy Webster's funeral I saw David and Mick shared a few words, but it was rather awkward. I miss Mick Carney more than any other person who has walked the earth, family included. I swear not one day goes by when I dont think about him.... A damned shame they couldn't make up before Mick passed....

Was there some kind of incident or falling out that lead to them not talking?

I was not at the lodge at the time David was there so was not privy to the happenings at that time. I have heard plenty of theories and stories from those who were. Mick didn't even like speaking about it really; I think he was really disappointed and hurt by how things turned out.... From what I hear the likeliest scenario is that David, who everyone knew was going to be a star; got bigger than the club and Mick would not let that happen.... For Mick, the club was a community and had to come first. It's all a real shame.....
