I am stunned Cotto actually took the Canelo fight without a ridiculous catchweight. Canelo shouldn't break a sweat vs Cotto its a mismatch. Cotto hasn't had a real win since the Zab fight.

I wouldn't call Canelo vs Cotto a mismatch. I think it is a pretty even fight, but think Canelo will win. He won't be on the losing end of a controversial decision. He was lucky to get wins vs Lara and Trout. I'm guessing Roach sees something in Canelo that Cotto can exploit, and probably has watched over and over how Floyd clowned him.

I don't think either fights GGG. Neither will meet him at 160. My prediction is the winner will give up the belt, and GGG will move up before Canelo moves up. Cotto will retire if he loses badly. I honestly think there are a few guys that could possibly beat both Cotto and Canelo at 154. (besides Lara and Trout). Andrade and the Charlo brothers will give them all they can handle. If GGG dropped to 154 there are some great fights for him. If he doesn't competition is limited. Maybe he will fight Lara? Style-wise it would be very interesting, but think GGG would eventually catch him.

Cotto will defeat Canelo pretty easily. The difference in hand speed is glaring. Canelo is too slow and Cotto is not going to get into a toe to toe brawl in which he takes one to give one. I think that Cotto wins majority of early and mid rounds but fades late. Canelo's only chance for the win is a late stoppage but i think Cotto will win this by decision.

If Cotto wins, he'll vacate the belt instead of facing GGG. IF Canelo wins, he's got enough balls to face GGG. So i'm hoping for the latter.
