I would like to start saying I really like Amir Khan fights as he is a very entertaining fighter but also the most over rated fighter in the world:
Amir has not KO anybody in five years..
He has himself on the level with world elite fighters which he is not
Since his move to WW he has hand picked his fights

he beat Collazo who Thurman knocked out in a good fight
he beat Alexander who has since lost to a nobody
he beat Algieri who has no power and an over the hill pacman destroyed,

I think he should fight another powerless fighter in December, the get the massive pay check by getting knocked out by Brook in his retirement fight

the last person as deluded as Amir was Nick Bentner saying that the three best players in the world was him, Ronaldo and Messi

I was just going to say this.
There hasn't been a week gone by, in the last couple years, where he hasn't been quoted as talking about who he's going to fight, who he should fight, who he deserves to fight, who's ducking him, who isn't a big enough name to deserve the fight with him and what fights have to be made because the fans demand it.

In that time he's fought Algieri, a now evidently washed up Alexander, Collazo, Diaz and Molina.

It's time he did less talking and made these fights!

Khan's a strange one.. On the one had he's a bit thick and boasts a lot, and is deluded... On the other hand I can't remember a world class fighter rebounding from such a devastating knockout as Prescott delivered and just cracking on and achieving a lot. And Danny Garcia knockout....

I hear & read lot of what Khan is intending to do, but I see little or no evidence of doing it.

Unless he can get a top line opponent to come in at short notice, it's now got to the point in the year when his next realistic big fight date could be in early Spring.

This is a fair point & just goes to show what mettle Khan actually has.

He's a very good fighter, always has been.

He's beaten some very good fighters as well. Malignaggi, collazo, maidana, Judah, Alexander are all good wins.

Gets a load of stick because he's not done in the 'hard way' nor has he had to have 6 rounders at the elephant and castle bla bla bla.

In short very good fighter who's just short of being excellent because of his chin.

He WOULD give mayweather and pacquaio nightmares. Not saying he would win but if we're bein fair and objective it's easy to make a case for him having a good go

I used to argue in his defense, both online and to friends or workmates.
Much of the stick he took early on was down to people disliking him due to the colour of his skin (not everyone, but I certainly encountered more than my fair of my fair share of folk hating him because he was a "paki") and I wasn't tolerating that. Really, early on there wasn't much other reason to dislike him. An exciting young fighter who delivered enjoyable dramatic fights, reached the top at an early stage despite some serious set backs and didn't come across as overly arrogant.

But in recent times?
The guy gets on my tits big time.
Both with the crap that comes out his mouth, talking about himself in the third person, talking about deserving the big paydays, telling us how awesome he is and how he would be too much for the p4p no 1 & 2 at the time.

Combine that with his activity in the ring (or lack of), fighting second rate guys, avoiding big fights with Brook or a Garcia rematch waiting for The Money Team to line his pockets instead of going and earning his pay cheque and I have to say, he's grown to be a bit of a banger.

He used to take risks, fight the best available and deliver entertainment that most top names couldn't. I hope with Floyd out of the picture we can get the old Amir back that isn't too big for his boots. He has bags of ability and gifted with natural physical attributes that gives him an edge over most in the fight game.
He just needs to put up or shut up as the saying goes
But I wont hold my breath.

Agree there. I used to like the guy and have spent good money traveling to watch him and now I can't stand him! Limondwas a good fight. He is a very underrated boxer and was on form that night. Only lost in good company and should've really beat Khan IMO. Long count! Khan is good value for money but he's a sore head to listen to!

The Limond fight was when I turned against Khan and I have never managed to support him since. My thoughts at the time were that he showed Limond no respect afterwards and couldnt accept that he was lucky to get the win. Maybe if I watched it back again now I would realise that I was a bit harsh in my reaction to it but it doesnt matter as he has done several things over the years to allow me to continue disliking his personality.

Mayweather should come out and say that he will fight the winner of Ronda Rousey v Amir Khan as the two of them alone manage to keep Mayweathers name in the press. Why cant they just get on with their own thing and shut the f*** up.

Edit... Just watched it again and he wasnt really that bad in the post fight interview.

Probably roughly the same level of kicking as I've given Brook.

Well perhaps very slightly more, as Khans post fight interview would have contained more talking about himself in the third person, deserving a fight with Floyd Mayweather.

But that aside, his match making would have taken a similar level of criticism

Would love to see that happen,however pac hasn't chinned anyone for years and i could see khan outpointing him.
