Re: Chris Eubank Jr has more power than GGG
That's an old video, after the last weekend no manager/promoter is going to want to put their fighter in with GGG unless there is ridiculous money on the table. He always struggled to get big fights, I think it will be even harder for him now.
Re: Chris Eubank Jr has more power than GGG
I think Eubank jr lacks power BJ Saunders looked unmarked after their fight and he took some shots.
Eubank jr is a good fighter but not a particularly hard hitting one.

TBF, Chudinov's face was a brutal mess before he was stopped. Eubank Jnr is improving all the time and if he fought GGG in 24 months time when Golovkin would be nearly 36, then I could see a very competitive fight tbh.rm1 wrote:I think Eubank jr lacks power BJ Saunders looked unmarked after their fight and he took some shots.

I think thats one of the problems with Eubank Jr. He fights like a puncher without actually having the necessary power. Hopefully Booth will adjust his style to his strengths. I still dont see him challenging Golovkin in a forseeable future but he should be able to beat B level middleweights like Saunders.

I see that Jr losing his unbeaten record hasn't curbed Sr's hyperbole one iota.

Re: Chris Eubank Jr has more power than GGG
He has average power but very good strength and stamina.
Re: Chris Eubank Jr has more power than GGG
His workrate is pretty low so I am not sure about stamina. Its probably decent but nothing special.dookus wrote:He has average power but very good strength and stamina.

To paraphrase a joke i heard by Steve Kim the other day – The next time Sr is heard trying to talk up a match between his son and Golovkin someone should get in touch with Social Services...

Re: Chris Eubank Jr has more power than GGG
I once heard a story about how Chris Eubank jnr once punched a horse so hard that he died and came back to life all in the space of 2 seconds. His power should not be sniffed at. True story

Debbie Harry in her prime was a sight to behold.
Re: Chris Eubank Jr has more power than GGG
He's not particularly heavy handed but he was feather fisted before so I think his power is improving as he matures. if he can get more powerful then he could become very good.

Hmm. We wouldn't expect anything less from Eubank Sr would you really?
Even if it were true (it isn't) - without the technique to actually land those shots it's irrelevant - Lemiuex punched harder than GGG with individual shots, but he couldn't land anything of note. I'd probably back Lemiuex to batter Eubank Jr at this stage, and at the least have a life and death war with Jr even if he prevailed.
`Benn punched harder than Watson too - didn't really work out for him either.
Punching power is the single most overrated factor anyway, as without the other attributes, it's easily overcome.
