11 months ago, he was a lightweight.

So, less than a year and a half later, he's gonna beat the best welterweight in the game?

Don't think so.

Crawford is definitely ready to be scheduled in a fight with Pacquiao. He's ready to collect the paycheck. If he says no now, he's not gonna get a chance later, so he's as ready as he'll ever be.

Definitely be a huge step up for Crawford. Even at 36 Pacquiao can still fight.

I think so. Pac has slipped, and is coming off of an injury (maybe...). I'd say go for it, but then I don't get hung up on undefeated records. If they are honor bound to protect Crawford's "0" to try and sell him as a PPV star to uneducated record surfers in the future then I guess they should avoid it. If they want to build him into the best fighter he can be then they should go for Pac now.

There is no question about the money involved to make this fight happen. Pretty certain this would be Crawford's biggest payday. It will be interesting to see what Crawford's handlers and management team think about a potential matchup. The risk. Also what Freddie Roach think's.

You have got to love TC. Dude is just supremely gifted, skilled and (most importantly) mean.

Boxing is looking up from Chocolatito to HW.

If Pac actually steps in with Crawford it is a throwback type event and Manny will deserve massive kudos for giving TC entry to ppv status. It would be akin to odlh giving FMJ and Pac a boost, and it would certainly one up FMJ's embarrassing exit.

Mean and....dumb.

Crawford showed slips in his defense, vs Gamboa then Jean.
Pac punches harder and more accurately than either.

Crawford will get balls out at one time or another and get decked.

TC went hard for the stoppage for very intelligent reasons, the most important being it was a tryout for the Pac PPV.

He definitely has taken some unnecessary risks and Pac will likely land some but Pac will have plenty of incoming to worry about himself.

How many KOs has Pac scored in the last five years? How many times has he been KTFO? How many KOs does Crawford have?

Great fight. I hope it happens. I think TC gets the decision.

I think in order to one up Floyd's embarrassing exit Pac would have to beat a welterweight with a higher standing than Berto. Crawford is new to light welter, just out of lightweight. Floyd would have been ridiculed far more by fighting Crawford than Berto. Pac can't one up Floyd on anything at this point. If he went on to beat Canelo and Cotto maybe...even Maidana, but that is not happening.

Crawford is a great up and coming fighter, but he has work to do, and is not yet at his prime. I do think he will be a top pfp guy in a year or two. Money-wise he would be a fool to not fight Pac.

I think this is the perfect match for Crawford.
Pac does not look close to what he was a couple of years ago.And Crawford should
be reaching his peak very soon.
I honestly would pick Crawford if they were to meet this next year.

No, Crawford is nowhere near it.

He's a hot up and coming fighter but asking him to step up 2 weight classes to fight the best fighter of the modern era is several steps too far.

We have weight classes for a reason. It's the same with Golovkin. As good as he is people need to stop and think for a second before suggesting he fight Kovalev.

Crawford is already light years in front of Berto.

I'd love to see him beat Pac, and given the situations I'd give him a 50/50 shot.

I think he's ready for him, in terms of level. Pac still has really fast hands and hits very hard, but I don't know about his work rate at this point. Then again, Crawford isn't always the most active guy himself in terms of throwing. He sets his opponents up well though.

I wouldn't really be sure who to pick. If I were forced to choose, I'd go with Pacquiao, but I wouldn't be sure about it.

Early reviews don't suggest Crawford can't do so.

Crafword (along with a few others) is a fresh wind in stale atmosphere of American boxing. The guy actually fights and takes risks. I hope this doesn't degrade quickly and that he fights Pacquiao the same way.

According to Michael Koncz, Crawford is not Pacquiao's first choice. According to Arum, it is down to Bradley, Khan, or Crawford.

I think you're underestimating TC's ring smarts. He didnt get too careless vs Jean until later rounds & Jean has zero power.

Crawford KNOWS Pac has power, even at 37 and will not get that reckless vs Pacman. TC will box smart & keep his distance vs Manny. He only went for KO vs Jean because he was auditioning for Pac PPV. Once he gets in PPV he has no reason to abandon caution!!

I thought Crawford was showing lapses in defense against Gamboa too and while small, Gamboa can still crack, just not as hard as Pacquiao.

That said, I do think Crawford is one of the toughest challenges out there even for Pacquiao.

The move upto welterweight isn't a factor in this fight; Pacquiao is a very small welterweight.

Ready as in expected to win? Probably not. Ready as in he'd not be a pushover? Absolutely.

If this fight is to be made soon, I'd favour Pacman, but I'd be far more shocked to see Pacman winning comfortably than Crawford winning at all.

I said the same thing about Bradley and was impressed with how Pacquiao was beating him...until the scores were read.

Ofcourse it is. Pac's been tipping 147 on the scales, fighting at 152+, and packing enough power to flatten Oscar Mosely Cotto Margarito Algieiri for the last 7 years, completely different league from Beltran and the grossly overrated Gamboa.
