A very important fight for Sam. He hadn't lost for over 5 years when his knee and IBF title went against Jermain Taylor, and then he was on the wrong end of the decision against Wade in a fight many thought he won.

Cold hard reality is Sam turns 42 just prior to the N'Dam fight and if he were to lose that would make 3 on the trot. The upside is a win would put him in line for another title challenge. Very important fight

Sydney or the bush fight for Sam. We have seen how resilient N'Dam is. He just keeps getting up. I see this one is going the distance. Let's hope Sam doesn't get diddled like he did against Wade.

Sam Soliman will take on France’s Hassan N’Dam on November 21st as he continues his journey to regain the IBF middleweight title.

The former middleweight titlists will collide in Paris, with the winner being put within reaching distance of the winner of next month’s looming middleweight title unification between Gennady Golovkin and David Lemieux.

Both Soliman and N’dam were last in action in June, with Soliman dropping a highly controversial split decision to Dominic Wade in Washington, while N’dam was outpointed for the IBF middleweight strap by David Lemieux.

“A win will give me the right to fight for the IBF middleweight number one spot which grants a mandatory title shot,” said Soliman in a press release issued by SS Promotions. “I need to win this fight and win it well.”

“My last fight has fueled my hunger and focused me on what I need to do to become a two-time world champion,”

“I’m two fights away from having a chance to regain the world title I lost when I badly injured my knee fighting Jermain Taylor last year,”

“I’ve knocked up more frequent flyer points than most boxers. I’ve always been prepared to travel anywhere and fight anyone and this fight has IBF sanctioning as an eliminator for the number two spot,”

“Fighting Hassan N’Dam on his home turf is not going to be easy, N’Dam is one tough opponent.”

N’dam (31-2, 18 KOs) is the former interim WBO middleweight champion, having also held the interim version of the WBA middleweight title. The 31-year-old Cameroon native’s only defeats have come in world title fights.

“N’Dam and myself have a lot in common. We are both world champions, we have both lost titles, we have fought quality fighters to get where we are, and we both want that world championship belt back.”

Soliman’s manager David Stanley said this is the fifth eliminator world title bout his promotional company SS Promotions have co-presented.

When Soliman lost the fight he appeared to win against the American Wade, it was with an American referee and 3 American judges doing the scoring.

Only way to win a fight like that is probably by KO.

Well N'Dam isn't a Al Haymon fighter so that's 1 good thing. The fact it's in France doesn't fill me with confidence hopefully he wins so convincingly they can't take it off him.

This still going ahead ? Great stuff by Sam and wouldn't expect him to do anything less than take on a top ranked fighter. I think its winnable for Sam, he just needs to stay busy as always and hope the judges see the fight with two eyes and are not impacted by the crowd too much. Good luck Sammy.

He didn't want to fight Golovkin though for the title of king of the middleweight division.

Hopefully there will be at least some 'neutral' officialdom. Unlike when Soliman fought Wade with an American referee and 3 American judges.
