Why don't no-hopers ever give it a go ?

Post by rd350lc »

After watching Jeter's woeful showing against jnr , I always ask myself why somebody who is obviously going to get beaten give it a real go and come out winging ,every step of his apart from his ring entrance was backwards and even if it is for just a minute or two , they would earn so much more respect in my eyes

Sometimes they do. They just get battered quicker.

Its a rare thing when a foreign fighter comes over here to have a real go,the last great effort i remember is Junior Granados who came over from Mexico to give Jamie Conlan a fright a few months ago

you wouldn't expect any mexican not to at least try , it's not in their blood.

Because they're paid to come and make the home fighter look good, imagine if they knocked the favourite out? The promoters would think twice about using them again.

A lot of journeymen on the circuit over here are impossible to look good against IMO. The Smith twins (God rest them) were a right tough pair and must've been horrible to fight. My mate fought both of them and said they were a right handful.
