LET'S MAKE IT HAPPEN IN 2016 - Those are the words of Kris George to unbeaten Australian rising star Jeff Horn. George believes he's the one to take the sting out of the hornet and he's thrown down the gauntlet for a showdown in 2016.
"I have a great respect for Jeff and what he has achieved in his short career," George said.
"However I sincerely believe he has never felt the power of a real puncher and his walk forward style may come unstuck if he gets hit properly.
"I think Jeff Horn's style suits me and it would be a very entertaining spectacle for Australian boxing.
Kris George has amassed 7 wins from 8 fights with 5 by knock out.
"Let's make it happen in 2016!" George said.

This was Jeff's respectful reply to Kris on Facebook.
Kris George has called me out. That's great and good on him. I don't blame him. I have done the same thing with the likes of Pacman and Amir Khan.
I do understand, however, that we all must earn the right to fight higher ranked boxers, which is what I am working towards. Duco, my promoters, have invested a fortune in my last 5 fights, acquiring 5 top 15 world rated opponents to move me up the rankings and allow me the valuable experience I need to get that World Title.
Fighting George is a backwards step for me, especially when George is coming off a loss to a Chinese fighter who only had 5 wins and 2 losses when they fought.
Good luck in the future Kris.

Very diplomatic and hard to argue with.
Horn clearly a class act.

A very polite way of telling him to go and have intercourse with himself.Pauljh wrote:This was Jeff's respectful reply to Kris on Facebook.

Fighting Kris George would make no sense whatsoever to Jeff Horn. What would he have to gain from it?

Quite a bit of difference between his & your comment
Re: Kris George throws down challenge to Jeff Horn
When Kris had that loss he was at Lightwelter. Now back to Welter and he looks massive. I can understand what Horn has said but I think Kris will cause some damage at Welter. He was an underdog against Ozan and took him out in the 3rd. Back to his right weight in my opinion.

I hope Kris does well. But he has no place in the ring with Horn. It would be a backward step for Horn at this stage.
