Charlo vs. Alcine

Post by jujigatame »

Are they serious with this? Alcine is 39 years old, hasn't even fought in a year and a half, and isn't a halfway decent opponent for anyone, let alone an elite fighter like Charlo. Could they not even get a respectable B-lister for this fight?

Of course they could, but this is not what they WANT to do. Haymon's fighters LOVE him, because he lets them earn good money without breaking a sweat. It is SO bad for the sport though :shame:

Don't complain ikorolev we should worship Haymon for bringing boxing to free TV! Cant believe how some are defending these mismatches by saying we should be grateful as its on free TV its just pathetic. You can go to a local gym and watch more exciting and competitive spars for free.

Willie Nelson is a decent 154lb fighter who has fought on PBC yet isn't fighting Charlo or Lara.

Forget Willie Nelson, there have gotta be at least 50-60 guys at 154 that would have been better opponents. Hell, a Gabe Rosado rematch would be better. This fight is a complete joke.

Jermell is actually no1 with the WBC no 2 is John Jackson who also fought in PBC a couple of months back. The should be fighting for that belt next as even if Floyd comes back no way would he fight at 154.

John Jackson being ranked #2 is ridiculous but Charlo/Jackson would still be a lot better than this garbage.

Only question is if Charlo will be aggressive enough to get him out of there. Charlo is a pretty decent value even at -4000 odds.

People must have started betting Charlo after the betting opened. Probably a smart move, it's free money barring a crazy 1 in a million freak occurrence.

Sweet Jeebus. Charlo's brother Jermall, who is already a beltholder, is fighting this guy next:

This is utterly shameful.

Haha do any American boxers have any self respect anymore? FMJ fights (or should I say spars) Berto, Ward is fighting journeyman above there natural weight class, Wilder has still only fought 1 top 10 guy in about 7 years and 35 fights, these twins are just the same, nearly every PBC card are mismatches. I really hope Thurman fights Porter but I wont get too excited until I see them both in the ring.

Charlo wins every round easily and then stops Alcine in the 6th. Most predictable result ever. Alcine has grey in his beard for fornicate's sake.

Haymon style matching. Why fight Andrade, Lara, Vanes, etc which are all makeable fights if you can fight #70.
