That is going to be a great card.
Re: Yunieski Gonzalez vs. Vyacheslav Shabranskyy
This already looks like a f4cking great card.
Re: Yunieski Gonzalez vs. Vyacheslav Shabranskyy
Rosado v Clottey should be fun. If the Clottey that fought Mundine turns up.
Re: Yunieski Gonzalez vs. Vyacheslav Shabranskyy
Please tell HBO is going to air all four of those fights.
Re: Yunieski Gonzalez vs. Vyacheslav Shabranskyy
This is one of the few good fights left for the year. The winner will be a solid contender.

All four will be on HBO Latino.Perseus wrote:Please tell HBO is going to air all four of those fights.
But yes, they should certainly have Shabranskyy-Gonzalez on English-language HBO too. But it's just two fights, as far as I know.

This is an excellent fight card to finish 2015.
Re: Yunieski Gonzalez vs. Vyacheslav Shabranskyy
Find it hard to believe Shabbyyy can win this fight. Shocked hes such a small underdog. Gonzalez is legit and has proven it.

Does Shabranskyy have legit power(86% KOs) or did he just fight a bunch of pushovers?

Re: Yunieski Gonzalez vs. Vyacheslav Shabranskyy
YUNIESKI GONZALEZ, Light Heavyweight Contender:
"Every aspect of my training has been elevated to be able to make a great impression. Shabranskyy applies basic combinations and I am a fighter that is more complex and will bring that advantage with me on fight night.
"A victory on Dec. 19 will keep me on the right track as I climb to the top of the mountain and establish myself as an elite fighter in the light heavyweight division.
"I have focused on turning my punches over to maximize my power. I'm not going to give up too much information, but the world will see on Dec. 19."
VYACHESLAV "LION HEART - CHINGONSKY" SHABRANSKYY, Light Heavyweight Contender:
"The primary focus of this training camp has been to make sure my power and conditioning are the best they can become Dec. 19. I will finish camp knowing that I'm in the best shape ever.
"Gonzales is an aggressive come forward fighter. He's not the typical Cuban boxer, he is more of a 'banger' come forward fighter which isn't typical of Cuban fighters and I have made sure to prepare for that.
"This fight, without question is the biggest fight of my career so far and is step closer to getting a shot at a world title. I'm a smarter fighter now. My team and I have a game plan in place, if I stick to that I believe the fight will be in my favor.
"With every camp there is growth. Everyday I come into the gym the goal is to get better, in every single aspect- physically, emotionally, and spiritually. When there is a well-rounded growth it becomes easier to focus and devote myself to training, to be more willing to learn and to be taught."

Re: Yunieski Gonzalez vs. Vyacheslav Shabranskyy
I agree diddy. Shabra was rocked in the first round of his last fight by the great Paul Parker. All signs point to a Gonzalez ko here but the odds are strange. Although I see now that a little money has come in on Gonzalez.diddy wrote:Find it hard to believe Shabbyyy can win this fight. Shocked hes such a small underdog. Gonzalez is legit and has proven it.

Re: Yunieski Gonzalez vs. Vyacheslav Shabranskyy
quoting Steve Kim:
And it’s precisely why he was able to get this fight with Yunieski Gonzalez this weekend at Turning Stone Resort and Casino in Verona, NY, televised by HBO Latino (Dec. 20, 12:15 a.m. ET/PT).
Without looking so vulnerable in his previous fight, it’s doubtful that Gonzalez and his team would have accepted this assignment.

Re: Yunieski Gonzalez vs. Vyacheslav Shabranskyy
So as far as I understand the main card is Jennings-Ortiz and Walters-Sosa, and then the rest of the good undercard is going to be on HBO Latino.
What I want to know is if the HBO Latino card is basically a recording? Meaning are fights like Rosado-Clottey, Shabby-GOnzalez happening before the main card in real time, meaning before the main event? And is it actually possible to watch them live?

These are great fights, too bad I have to work tonight and last I checked HBO doesn't stream live to my phone, like Showtime did. Ill probably stop home watch some of one of the fights and then watch the rest later...

Weird list. How is Walters as a monstrous favorite more interesting than the Ortiz-Jennings coin flip ?victor-romeo wrote:Fights I want to see in order of interestFreedom2013 wrote:Weights and order of fights

Going to the scorecards...
Shabranskyy defeats Gonzalez by MD.
98/92, 97/93, 95/95
Should have been a UD they are saying.

Re: Yunieski Gonzalez vs. Vyacheslav Shabranskyy
Good job Slava! He's been proving doubters wrong from the beginning of his career. Ukraine has two really good contenders coming in the Light Heavyweight division - Shabranskyy and Gvozdyk. I wonder if one day down the line they fight each other.
