Anyone know much about The Colombian puncher? Is there much chance of a upset against ward?

not a bad fighter at all... a little old but at 175, his chances are slim

He gave Badou Jack all he could handle. Very awkward and strong fighter.

Let's get real people. He's an ok fighter but he will lose every round decisively.

Jack has significantly improved since their fight and I don't think Brand pushing him close is that impressive, not to mention that fighters like Periban and Edwards had similar or more success. From what I've seen of Brand he's a decent but unspectacular SMW and I don't consider him close to world class.

As has been repeated ad nauseum, it's a very underwhelming bout for an elite fighter with major TV backing---the opponent doesn't have much of a name, lacks notable wins, is nearly 40, and has fought almost entirely at SMW, meaning he's not exactly a good opponent to help Ward break into 175. I get that Ward has fought excellent opposition in the past and may well fight Kovalev, but why has he been searching for such poor opponents lately? I think he was also trying to fight Caleb Truax and Dimitri Sartison shortly before his most recent stretch of inactivity.

Because Jay Z is paying him millions to fight these nobodies.
