Daniel Jimenez v Harald Geier Debatably the quickest title knockout of all time. Jiminez gave the previously undefeated Austrian Gaier home advantage for their WBO super bantamweight title fight in 1994. He need not have bothered. Officially it took just 17 seconds - one punch straight out the corner - for Jiminez to wrap things up.

I know it isn't the quickest, but Stevenson vs Dawson seemed to be over very fast. Probably a little longer than I actually remember though.

Re: Shortest world title fight ever??
i need to go look them up but i can think of lots of quick ko's in the 90's
at 154. terry norris and julian jackson both racked up quick ko's and both
of them were ko'd very early in title fights, also.

How long did Nicky Cook last with Ricky Burns? 90 seconds, I don't think he landed a punch.

Re: Shortest world title fight ever??
Randall Bailey knocked out a South American guy (Gonzalez?) for a title way back when in about 30 seconds
Re: Shortest world title fight ever??
G Man did Bell in 20 seconds while Hopkins beat Frank in 24 seconds. Not sure if that was over any weight or if it was a Middleweight title fight record.

Yes, this is officially the fastest ever for a title fight.tiny_acres wrote:Daniel Jimenez v Harald Geier Debatably the quickest title knockout of all time. What was the story with Raul Perez? He was given the star treatment, I remember.
