Inquiries for 4th edition of The Boxing Register

I would greatly appreciate it if I could post some inquiries to this forum about records of the International Boxing Hall of Fame's recent inductees. Since I am a newcomer to this board, I wanted to check whether it was appropriate to post my questions here.

I'm co-author (and publisher) of "The Boxing Register: Int'l Boxing Hall of Fame Official Record Book."

Here's an example of the sort of questions that I have:

Did Lou Brouillard and Al McCoy have a fight in 1934? An eight-round KO by Brouillard appears in the last RING RECORD BOOK without a location or date. The bout is listed as being on 7/20/34 in BOXREC.com, with the note "exact date and location unknown." CyberBoxingZone shows the fight in July, but with no location or exact date. I haven't been able to find any newspaper articles confirming that the two combatants met before 1935. Does anyone have definitive information?

I don't have this information, but one trick you can use to find out is to check the Boston Globe articles previewing their 09/20/35 fight. It would probably mention if they fought before and approximately how long ago, maybe even where.

So is an updated Boxing Register in the works?

actually, I would check the Maine Recod book and supplemt which has a much more complete record for McCoy
