Top 25 Jr. Middleweights of All-Time

I don't think that we have ever made a Ranking of the top 25 Jr. middleweights or super welterweights in boxing history. YOUNG DIVISION that it's somewhat a stepping stone for some boxers to move up to the complete middleweight division. Some guys in this list became sensational middleweight boxers.

I think it was Gianfranco Rossi rather than Giancarlo Rosi...correct?

Good fighter in my opinion with some highly notable scalps at welter and LM; but often deathly dull and only his fans could love him.

For sheer excitement value I might be tempted to find a space for Matthew Hilton somewhere towards the outer fringes.....that's a subjective rather than objective choice I might add

Not miles ahead, he was mostly a middleweight. But, he could or should have a spot in there and have him into consideration of this ranking

And one was a catch weight of 152.I do not think he did enough to be rated in the top 10.

Its really difficult to rank fighters in specific weight divisions like this. I can see SRL and Floyd beating everyone on this list at light middle with the possible exception of mike mc and hearns. However, they both just had a couple of fights at lt middle. How do we rank these guys? Based on what they did at the weight or what we think they'd do?

Take SRR as an example. He's not in this list but surely hes the greatest lt middle of all time? Hes defo the greatest welter and a lot of peeps think hes the greatest middle, at least top3. Little, Canelo and Rossi ahead of SRL?

I see what you're saying.

SRR fought at middleweight. The Jr. middleweight division was created in 1962, after Robinson's prime.

I made a mistake in putting SRL ranked at this weight class at all. He didn't do enough, plus looked very MEDIOCRE most of the time at 154lbs

At least Canelo and Rosi did more. Don't you agree?

You are right. I see your point. He should be in the lower positions, like in the 15-20 range would be fair.

I would not have a problem with Floyd being ranked in the top 10 in any of the following.
Jr.lightweight,Lightweight or welterweight
But he spent hardly anytime in either Jr.welter or Jr middle. 15-20 seems right in those two divisions.

That is a good list.We all can argue about this for a very long time.But I think
you got the majority of the fighters that should be there.I might have a few higher and a few lower.
But overall I think you did a good job on this
