Lost 11 of his last 13, and his 2 wins were against guys with 0 wins.
Is that a good fight for a guy rated 11th by the WBA?
I really don't know why de Mori bothers. He has completely wasted what were potentially the best years of his career.

This name dropping imposter must have known from day one that he would never
have the balls to lock horns with anyone ranked in the Top 100.

Agreeing to fight Chagaev on 2 weeks notice (for the second time) after Oquendo pulled out recently not count?

Boasting about beating up a poor, last-minute opponent like Zeller is pretty form. 24-15 doesn't look SO bad for a last minute opponent, but a closer look at his record makes for sorry reading: 3 wins and 13 KO loses in his last 16 fights, and all three wins were against opponents with zero wins themselves.

Apparently de Mori has "big news" to announce on Monday though.

de Mori is always claiming he has a big fight coming up. It's a bit like those "FREE BEER TOMORROW"' signs you see outside pubs

Unsubstantiated thought bubbles definitely don't count.

Come on guys he demolished a guy who just missed out* against Erkan Teper and Tyson Fury (who could be the the next lineral HW champ).

*Just missed out may not actually mean his fights were close..

Marks team are trying to get him ranked/rated into the top 15 by the WBO. Why would they bother doing it?
Only thing that comes to my head is de Mori would look like a more viable opponent ranked top 15 in all ABC sanctions to one of the current belt holders  .

The guy should be fighting for the vacant WBA International Champions belt like they hinted at. With all the media attention he is getting over in Euro I think he's become the great white hype.

de Mori's ranking has been the least of his worries. Probably due in the main to Don King's influence, his ranking has been artificially high for years. But the reality is he has beaten few if any quality opponents and if he ever fights one he probably won't know what hit him.

Apparently Mark signed a contract which will see him get a fight at the "top level". Hmm.

Beating Marcel Zeller seems to have been enough to move de Mori from #11 to #8 in the WBA rankings.

The delusional, self obsessed narcissus announced on Facebook 4/11/15 to his adoring fans
that he had a contract in front of him ready to sign and an exciting announcement
re his next opponent would be made in the very near future.
Talk's cheap, they're still waiting.
No doubt it'll be another stiff from outside the top 300.

Yeah, that's what Gnome was saying a few days back.
The qualifiers are the same as always. "ready to sign", "exciting announcement" and "near future"

I think it's 10, but it's still a joke. The WBA has some mad rankings. Ortiz interim champ. Browne, Oquendo and Briggs 3,4 and 5. Ustinov, Tarver, Fedesov and De Mori in the top 10. Who has any of those guys beat recently (Tarver drew with Cunningham).

I think he realised with his crazy short t-rex arms, he wasn't going anywhere, so he just powerlifts and shows off his buffness and rooster haircuts, trying to blag money from sponsors and gullible promoters

He had a contract in front of him two weeks ago and said he was ready to sign it and make an exciting announcement right?

So what happened? Did he forget how to spell his name?

A lot of fighters with ability sin against their talent. In de Mori's case, he has no talent to sin against.

I believe the Danny Williams fight is back on for next year  . If the fight falls through again it will %99.9 be a tomato can.

Unfortunately, Danny Williams is a shadow's shadow of his former best and well on the road to getting permanently damaged. He lost against a 3-4 Czech bloke, who six of his next seven fights - five of them by KO1. If de Mori fights Williams he shouldn't be wearing a belt, he should be wearing handcuffs.
