Ricky Burns used to have a nice jab. Never uses it anymore.

Yeh gotta agree. Burns is kidding himself if he thinks he's going anywhere. I think King has a chance here.

Around the time of the Mitchell win he was looking so strong and powerful at the weight, like a proper world champ. He's a shell of that guy now.

I've seen better quality boxing in Charlie Chaplin movies.

He boxes like a fat heavyweight. Get close, lean and throw punches. When he gets some distance he looks excellent, against Figueora when he boxed he was a level above. Getting close, is not his game.

Mind you, he can't stop he needs the money. Losing to Campbell finishes his career.

Might be the weight.
Maybe he needs to finish his career at light-welter...

It's just hard work watching Burns nowadays. So many pushed punches, clinches, timing off, every fight is like this and it's turgid to watch. He needs to quit but probably holding out for paydays after the Warren thing took all his money.

Burns is finally starting to impose himself now. King is nothing.

Wouldnt he get hurt by anyone decnt at lightweight nowadays?
Wouldnt it be more beneficial to his body not to boil down to LW and drain himself?

You can hear the murmur of the crowd. Just not watchable at all everyone's chatting or gone for a pint.

Sims was implying in this interview that after this fight he will get a top 10 ranking with the WBO and then he can get a mandatory fight for Flanagan and said Burns and Mitchell are a level above Flanagan https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jbOjwFIvR9M I would love to see that fight just to shut him up, Burns has no chance against Flanagan.

Correct that. I think King's got his second wind. I'd love to see Burns fight Crolla if AC wins in a fortnight. Burns is made for Anthony.

Sims is half the problem with Burns, he needed a new trainer but he should have found someone other than Hearn's yes man.

Petr Petrov and Michael Perez, who are ranked 2 and 3, are fighting in February, winner of that will be Flanagan's next mandatory.

They have surely got to feed Burns to someone next fight. Sink or swim time these fights are dull and have no real value.
