Klitschko vs Fury SKY Sports Box Office

Post by chad »

Does anyone know the latest? The fight is just 3 weeks away I've seen nothing about the price of the PPV. It's not available to order as of yet either. Usually price and order details are out a month in advance.

Maybe SKY are treading carefully. There's pretty much no undercard to speak of and I can't see the main event going the distance. If they try to charge £20 for this I'm sure there will be a backlash. Even £16.99 for me would be too steep.

It's supposed to be on SKY Sports. Would be a scandal if it's pulled off SKY Sports and coupled up with Fury vs Klitschko on PPV.

I am not sure how, but I would definitely pay for it..... I totally disagree with PPV etc, but as a boxing fan I really want to see this. Hate myself for it!

Sky don't seem to have made up their minds whether AJ-Whyte or Fury-K will get the nod. Doesn't sound like Brook will be fighting this year so they're lacking a decent card to prop it up like they had originally.

Yes, they have. It's on SBO.

The only question is whether December 12th will also be Box Office.

I wouldn't be surprised if they did do it just to justify the price, Klit-Fury is a 75/25 fight and i'm not paying £20 for 1 fight just because its a British fighter in a HW title fight.

The Braekhus fight on the undercard of Fury vs Klitschko is off. She got injured in training. Fury vs. Klitschko as it stands appears to have zero undercard. Would not be surprised if the fight gets cancelled, or ends up on SKY Sports.

Hughie Fury's on it isn't he?

They're not gonna cancel the fight because of a poor undercard ffs

I'll be getting it.

December the 12th is another matter. Only way I pay is if both Tony Bellew and Mitchell both have a world title fight (then it's still touch and go). How on earth you make it with the headline fight being Whyte and Joshua, with some crappy hype job, I'll never know.

I don't think Bellew vs. Masternak is for any title. Mitchell will be in an easy comeback fight

Didn't realise his opponent has been named.

He's ranked 15 in the wbc, #7 WBO, #7 WBA, and #9 IBF. A reasonable fight on rankings, but I've never seen the guy fight so who knows. Anyway it's not a PPV co-headline event.

Now all we need to know is the price. Interestingly the SKY Sports website suggests the undercard to Fury vs Klitschko, whatever it may be, is actually being shown on SKY Sports via the red button. It looks like if you are buying the PPV, you really are just getting the 1 fight for your money.

To be fair, no matter how competetive you think it may be, it is the best british heavyweight going for the undisputed heavyweight championship of the world.

It's hardly Bellew vs Cleverly 2.

I'll buy it.

Yeah I am thinking that to. If ever a fight justified it, this is it

The casuals are only ever interested in what time the undercard finishes. They can't stand them. Videos of Fury carrying on, Batman, etc will be of much more appeal to them than some German they've never heard of in an 8 rounder.

Probably sky have focused on Liverpool and will turn their attention to Degale and Fury now.
