Joshua has 4 inch height and 3 and a half stone weight advantage. Can Usyk grow into HW ?

I can not wait to see this match. There is no money, no glory in CW. Ukrainan is very skillful, I think he should be something like Holiefild - become undisputed cruiser champion, and move up in HW. Can he defeat AJ ? I hope we will see great battle. Let the better man win...............

Usyk is terrific but he's been fighting at cruiserweight. Does he plan to move to heavyweight?

Joshua outweighs him by fifty pounds. I keep complaining that boxing needs at least one more heavy weight division, preferably two, because right now if a man weighs just over 200 he is in the same weight div. as guys weighing 250 and more. Boxers are much bigger and stronger now. Heavyweights used to be anyone over 175. Meanwhile all the stupid light weight classes are separated by only three pounds or so.

AJ beats his opponends in an avarage of 2 rounds and he has several opponends who have never been KO or never been beaten before and those opponends already weight about 40 pounds each more as Usyk does.
AJ beated more top 100 boxrec opponends in his last 6 fights as Deontay Wilder, or Tyson Fury for example have done in their entire life.

In fact, Anthony Joshua has KOed all his boxrec top 100 opponends combined in several rounds less time as Deontay Wilder has done about his latest opponend alone, and that while that opponend of him wasn't even considered as a top European boxer.

Any cruiserweight is a joke for AJ, and even barely any heavyweight will make it past the 6th round.

AJ easily. Usyk is a more talented boxer but he is a cruiser and AJ is a huge HW. not sure if usyk has the Body to make the jump to HW.

I would hold Joshua as the favorite but Usyk did fight as a heavyweight and beat big guys like Joseph Joyce, Magomedrasul Medzhydov, Matteo Modugno and Erik Brechlin in the WSB prior to turning pro so I´m sure he eventually will end up at heavyweight.

Completely disagree.

How do you think Usyk would have performed against the likes of Airich, Gavern and Cornish?

Byrd, Holyfield and Haye are just two examples of cruiserweights stepping up. You think that these fighters at their prime would be a joke for Joshua?

And I am no massive fan of Wilder, but Malik Scott and Duhaupas are better than anyone Joshua has yet fought.

Holyfield was a cruiser and beat Bowe and drew with Lewis (officially).

Haye was a cruiser and beat Valuev.

Byrd was a cruiser and gave the Klitschkos good fights.

I am not saying Usyk would win, but saying Joshua would win "easily" because he "is a huge HW" doesn't bear up historically.

Valuev had pain in every bone he had at the age he fought Haye and the only thing Haye did was running like a chicken, exactly the type of opponend Valuev had trouble with.
Byrd never gave any Klitschko a good fight lol, as far as I remember he couldn't win any round at all against either of them, despite the shoulder injury.

Anthony Joshua is literally 25% more heavy as Usyk is.
That's like Mayweather is fighting McJoe Arroyo or something.
Or Mayweather fighting a cruiserweight (like Usyk).

It would be a complete mismatch.

Perhaps when Usyk was a bit more heavy it could have been something nice, but at this moment? No, I don't see it happening.

Usyk has a mildly unfair age / experience advantage over Joshua. The more time passes, the more that advantage will dissipate. I figure right now, Joshua probably beats Usyk. In 2017, Joshua's chances only improve.

Usyk is definitely big enough to move up to heavyweight. But his skills are just good, they aren't amazing like Beterbiev. He could potentially reach a level similar to Pulev or Glazkov. But there's a decent chance that Joshua is the Wlad / Lennox of the next generation, and if so, he will be a clear favorite against fighters of Pulev / Glazkov / Usyk caliber.

FYI Usyk fought the amazing Beterbiev twice in the ams and won both fights. IMO Usyk is slick enough to evade Joshuas punches and chin him or tire up in later rounds. I see it as a 50-50 fight
