Kell Brook vs. Timothy Bradley: who would win?
Will Timothy Bradley avoid top welterweights like Kell Brook and instead choose to face other shot, fat, blown-up lightweights like the guy he just fought (Brandon Rios)?
Re: Kell Brook vs. Timothy Bradley: who would win?
Maybe the better question is if Brook will fight an elite and battle-tested guy like Bradley, considering that KB has faced a single top ten opponent in his fairly long career (11 years/35 bouts) and is coming off fights with Jo Jo Dan and Frankie Gavin, who are a lesser pair than Rios and Vargas in my view.
I think both are very good fighters and I'd love to see the match.

Hard one to call for me.
Bradley has lost a little bit, but he's still world class, whereas Brook doesn't like fighting anyone with a pulse recently, so how would he cope with someone of Bradley's class?

Brook is being avoided by Khan and others. I think he wants to fight the best possible opponents.crusader wrote:Maybe the better question is if Brook will fight an elite and battle-tested guy like Bradley, considering that KB has faced a single top ten opponent in his fairly long career (11 years/35 bouts) and is coming off fights with Jo Jo Dan and Frankie Gavin, who are a lesser pair than Rios and Vargas in my view.

Re: Kell Brook vs. Timothy Bradley: who would win?
I don't doubt Brooks skills, but who did he beat or even fought, apart from Porter?
From 2012 to now, Bradley had Provodnikov, Chaves, Vargas, Rios, Marquez, and Pacquiao (twice). Earlier he beat unbeaten guys & former champions like Joel Casamayor, Devon Alexander, Junior Witter, Lamont Peterson, Miguel Vasquez & Kendall Holt...
i can't help but see Bradley as the (slight) favorite, if they are going to fight.

Re: Kell Brook vs. Timothy Bradley: who would win?
Bradley is by far the more proven and does not struggle with the weight like Brook. Tim is more versatile by far and has too many years and too many plans for Brook.
Re: Kell Brook vs. Timothy Bradley: who would win?
Not even close, Timmy is too small and not enough of a puncher to get Kell's respect in the ring, Kell would time him all night long every time he got in range.
Re: Kell Brook vs. Timothy Bradley: who would win?
Who has little Timmy beaten in the last 2 years? The fact is Brooks win over Porter is far better then what Bradly has done.PsychoGamerTwo wrote:I don't doubt Brooks skills, but who did he beat or even fought, apart from Porter?

Also the Casamayor win was a joke, he was 40 and never a LWW.
Re: Kell Brook vs. Timothy Bradley: who would win?
Brook's win over Porter was not a clear victory, who has Kell boxed of high level apart from Porter, ever?
Re: Kell Brook vs. Timothy Bradley: who would win?
It was a very clear victory, all the clean punches came from Kell, all Porter did was rush in like usual. Its not Kell's fault they wont fight him, he's high risk low reward as Rios proved by ducking him and choosing Bradley...
Re: Kell Brook vs. Timothy Bradley: who would win?
Two years and three weeks ago Bradley beat Marquez--perhaps that doesn't fit the period you designated but I don't see what difference the three weeks makes. I wouldn't say that beating Porter is 'far better' than beating Marquez, and aside from Porter I don't believe that Brook has any top ten opponents on his resume despite being a pro for over a decade; Senchenko, Jackiewicz, Matthew Hatton, Carson Jones twice, and Jo Jo Dan isn't exactly impressive stuff.digzee wrote:Who has little Timmy beaten in the last 2 years? Now I believe that Brook is quite a good fighter and I'd give him a good chance of defeating Bradley, but for the OP to hint that it would be Bradley avoiding the fight is laughable, and in fact I believe that Brook's team was trying to make a bout with the 'fat' and 'shot' Rios he describes.
As for the nature of the Porter fight, I didn't think much clean work came from either, though Brook definitely had the edge there and I had him a clear winner (116-113 on my card). It was a solid performance but I don't see how it sets him apart from Bradley.

Yeah, will Timothy "The Duck" Bradley ever step up?Freedom2013 wrote:Will Timothy Bradley avoid top welterweights like Kell Brook and instead choose to face other shot, fat, blown-up lightweights like the guy he just fought (Brandon Rios)?
Re: Kell Brook vs. Timothy Bradley: who would win?
Brooks career has been painfully slow but his team have been vocal about wanting the big fights now, they wanted Bradley now but the money wasn't there as the plan was to do a shared PPV with Klit-Fury and have enough to get Chaves over, if the Khan fight isn't made then I heard Hearn say Bradley was possible for the summer as a standalone PPV, then we can all see who wins.crusader wrote:Two years and three weeks ago Bradley beat Marquez--perhaps that doesn't fit the period you designated but I don't see what difference the three weeks makes. The Porter fight was scruffy but so is every Porter fight but there was a good amount of clean work from Brook but little from Porter as you can see here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CaOEvOCDXrw
Re: Kell Brook vs. Timothy Bradley: who would win?
Bradley is a formidable fighter but Brook is a class act and a bigger man. And a good big man always beats good small man. Plus Brook is younger and fresher fighter and I dont entirely buy that Teddy Atlas gimmicks, screaming like a raving lunatic. Hope Brook steps up and takes that fight.
Re: Kell Brook vs. Timothy Bradley: who would win?
I like Brook. But he is relatively unproven.
And the fight vs Porter was very close and probably would have been closer if it was refereed properly.
So any fight between him and a battle tested and seemingly resurgent Bradley has to have Tim favored.

Refereed properly? You mean by allowing Porter more head-butts?koolkc107 wrote:I like Brook. But he is relatively unproven.

Brook held more than Wlad that fight.digzee wrote:Refereed properly? You mean by allowing Porter more head-butts?koolkc107 wrote:I like Brook. But he is relatively unproven.

Should have had points deducted...a lot.
Re: Kell Brook vs. Timothy Bradley: who would win?
That's completely ridiculous, Porter is the biggest spoiler in the WW division, have you seen a fight where Porter doesn't bore in with his head?koolkc107 wrote:Brook held more than Wlad that fight.digzee wrote:Refereed properly? Re: Kell Brook vs. Timothy Bradley: who would win?
Bradleys got a good record, been against a lot of top fighters, Kell brook's record is terrible and the only good win he has was porter and I had porter winning by 2-3 rounds, so seems like a no brainer to me, bradley by points by a wide decision

I see this as double standards.
Khan gets criticised for ducking Brook waiting on a Mayweather payday, but it's ok for Brook to duck the best fights out there because he is calling Khan out for what would be his biggest cheque.
Both of them need to step up their level of opponent, no excuses!

There's no comparison, Tim has the far stronger resume and amy accusation he'd take the easy fight is ludicrous
Re: Kell Brook vs. Timothy Bradley: who would win?
Would be a brilliant fight. Heart says Brook, head says Bradley. Purely based on Bradley being far more proven and Brook never having fought anyone with Bradleys movement.
Re: Kell Brook vs. Timothy Bradley: who would win?
Here you have two WAY different fighters. One is a future HOF'er who clearly wants to fight the best in the world and proves it every year. The other got lucky in a fight with Porter and has now hijacked the title refusing to fight anyone worth a damn.
I'm so sick of boxers like Brook. Boxing is full of these punks that get lucky and grab a title and then they suddenly think that they are God's gift to boxing. This is why we have these lopsided fights nowadays because no one wants the tough fight against a top challenger. Nowadays, winning a title means that you get to showcase yourself and gets punks like Gavin and Dan first.
Kell Brooks a dickhead.

Re: Kell Brook vs. Timothy Bradley: who would win?
Be a great fight. Evenly matched. I like Brook in the UK. Tim in the US.
