appeared at the Old bailey today accused of murder.
Professional fighter Garry Delaney, 35, was working as a bouncer when he allegedly punched Paul Price, 23, causing his death.
The former Commonwealth light heavyweight champion boxer has fought in 37 professional bouts, winning 30 of them and was ranked the UK's number six cruiserweight.
He was working at the County Hotel in Woodford, east London, on October 7 last year when the alleged murder took place.
Appearing via videolink from Pentonville Prison where he is on remand, Delaney denied murder and ABH on fellow partygoer James Farrell, 43.
The trial is due to take place on June 5

you wouldnt think so... not after those little scum bags got off a murder charge after purposely going out with a camera phone and beating someone to death....FlawedGenius wrote:As I see it, there's no way he'll get found guilty of murder.
on the face of it this is a scuffle that had a bad ending...
Its basically to do with the fact Delaney has been remanded in custody. This hearing was only dealing with his plea and a few other admin issues to do with the case. Its much cheaper to set up a video link than arrange for Delaney to be transported from prison and into court for mere formalities. Its just a case of money and time being saved - nothing more.knockout wrote: interesting that he pleaded via video link... is this normal??
