On paper Selby looks to be in a good one...but that other guy has got a very weak 10-0 record in reality.

Selby is undoubtedly special and I look forward to him starting to get tested, but that wee lad he was fighting probably hadnt even started shaving. Christ only knows who he was fighting to get to 10-0....

Blackwell/Arnfield was a cracking fight i really enjoyed it,Jack gave it his all and did really well to see it through to the end because Nick was really pouring it on late on,i had it 117-110 Blackwell,some rounds i was on the verge of giving Arnfield a round then Blackwell's harder more quality shots would steal the round and the left hook downstairs which decked Arnfield was class,good all action domestic tussle

Hughie Fury impressed me too,dont know much about Zarate and his durability but it was good to see Hughie sit down on his shots and get him out of there early

Andrew Selby's fight was a farce IMO,i thought opponents record looked good on paper at least but i never realised he was only 18 and a Light Flyweight,he might have been the youngest looking pro boxer ive ever seen,a boy

He has a great chin too. He got caught cleanly with the overhand right from Blackwell but took them without flinching. He boxed very well on the outside, lovely straight shots, especially the jab. Had a lot of success with the uppercut in close as well. If he had a stronger punch Blackwell may have been in trouble.

Blackwell V Arnfield was a cracking fight. Still goes to show how much the British title means....the challenger giving his all to take the belt, and a champion who's come up the hard way not prepared to let it go.

Blackwell is going from strength to strength, but still has improvement in him and hopefully Lockett can help him fulfill his potential. I really hope he goes for the Londsdale belt outright now. If successful, he should target the European title. That would be some story.

Fair play to Arnfield, he played his part to the full. The way he rallied from the knockdown was really impressive, but Blackwell's finish in the 12th was inspiring. The guys fitness and desire for a fight (every fight) is a joy to watch. Now Mick has got him on Channel 5, there's a good chance he can build a following becuase I know few boxing casuals who are starting taking notice of Blackwell.

Blackwell has most of the tools to succeed that you can`t teach in heart,aggression and determination,I`d just like them to work more on his ring generalship and iron out more of his bad habits before he steps up a level again.
Not everybody can be GGG,but there`s a lot to be said for Golovkin`s economy of movement and subtlety,for me Nick seems to move around a lot unnecessarily rather that staying in the pocket or cutting off the ring.
Guess that`s the difference between an extensive amateur career or learning on the job like Nick`s doing

He's already boxed a European champion away from home and was far from exposed. He gave Billy Joe Saunders a tough fight too. The only time he has been thoroughly outclassed was when he boxed a 22-0 Martin Murray in his 9th fight which is hardly something to hold against him.

Can he win a WT? Not unless he improves a lot, but I definitely wouldn't be suprised to see him win a European title and defend it several times.

i thought Armfield didn't quite make use of his longer arms, he was quite active with the jab in terms of throwing frequently but i thought he pushed it a bit rather than snapping it, i thought he struggled a bit with his distancing on the jab too- either he was throwing it when Blackwell was just out of range or just too far out for it to have impact. and there were quite a few occasions at closer range when he was exchanging jabs with blackwell and blackwell got the better of it i thought.

but thats quibbling, great chin, great engine, great heart, decent fight.
