Mark De Mori
Re: Mark De Mori
According to rumours at Aus boxing central facebook he may fight Haye.
Re: Mark De Mori
That sounds... highly unlikely, to say the least.DA GOOSE wrote:According to rumours at Aus boxing central facebook he may fight Haye.
Re: Mark De Mori
Bloody hell, Goose, it seems like a fair few people are saying it though! Going from fighting Balkan bouncers to David Haye? Wow, that would be a hell of a jump in quality.DA GOOSE wrote:According to rumours at Aus boxing central facebook he may fight Haye.

Re: Mark De Mori
Haye hasn't fought for 3 years but if he was serious about a comeback a stooge like de Mori would be the perfect first up victim.
Very early brutal KO to the Hayemaker.
Seems like the Dominator's followers just can't get enough of his fantasy boxing world.

Re: Mark De Mori
I've never known Mark getting sooooo much publicity. No wonder he enjoys imaginary Rock Star status
Re: Mark De Mori
And it's not even me writing it :)
They went back and forth on twitter. Would make sense for Haye IMO as Mark is decently ranked in WBA at the moment and padded or not his record is impressive.

Re: Mark De Mori
Oops! I forgot how astute WBA ratings are, e.g. Aussie beats a useless Thai in equally useless PABA title & scores world #15Totalpac wrote:And it's not even me writing it :)

Some Latino titles associated with WBA are even more humorous
Re: Mark De Mori
I like Marks gib, but I think David will want a recognisable name in the UK. Thats why I think Mark will not land this bout.
I think Hayes comeback opponent will be Tony Bellow. Tony is well liked, very popular and respected in the UK.
But if the twitter exchange between the two was a fight, then De Mori won it by KO!!!
Just in case you are not a twitter user here is the exchange.
David Haye @mrdavidhaye Nov 15
@MarkdeMori just checked out ur page & the only thing you're ready for, is a Power Lifting Comp'. Squat racks don't punch back. #NotReady
Mark de Mori @MarkdeMori Nov 15
@mrdavidhaye I checked ur page too - all ur ready for is eating salads wearing a silk robe and flying 1st class #stayretired
David Haye @mrdavidhaye Nov 15
@MarkdeMori U could use a few more salads urself. It's easy talking big with a hugely padded record. Stay in the weights room. #BodyBuilder
And the De Mori KO punch
Mark de Mori @MarkdeMori Nov 16
@mrdavidhaye all true, it's also true I don't run, clinch, hide from a brawl. Can you complete a full training camp without injury anyway?
Very good Mark, that shut him up!!!

Re: Mark De Mori
Paddy Power offering odds on "Marc" de Mori to fight David Haye before end of 2016. Guess we find out Tuesday when Haye makes his announcement. Doesn't look like they're giving "Marc" much of a chance...
"DAVID HAYE V MARC DE MORI Saturday 31st December 2016, 12:00
All bets void if fight does not take place before the end of 2016
Boxing Match Betting
David Haye 1/25
Draw 28/1
Marc de Mori 15/2"

Re: Mark De Mori
I keep hearing Haye's and de Mori's names being mentioned together. Perhaps there is something to this one?
de Mori has always treaded the easiest path, but surprisingly he has a ranking.
He's never met anyone remotely as good as Haye. So for Haye it represents what is in all likely-hood an easy fight, against a ranked opponent.

Re: Mark De Mori
If this fight ever happens Haye is in for a nasty surprise.
Anyone who thinks someone who has dedicated their life to boxing and trained 5 days a week, non stop for 15 odd years, will be a walk over is kidding themselves.
But agree. Perfect fight for Haye with a ranked opponent who doesn't look much on paper.
Fingers crossed it comes off.

Re: Mark De Mori
There are plenty of guys around who have devoted many, many years of their lives to boxing who David Haye would absolutely obliterate. Haye at his best is absolutely world class. You are kidding yourself if you don't realise that.Totalpac wrote:If this fight ever happens Haye is in for a nasty surprise.

An anything like in-form Haye is far better skilled, faster, more duarble, hits harder and has the added advantage of big fight experience over de Mori.
Who has de Mori beaten during his non-stop 15 years who even approaches the ability of Haye?
If you are suggesting Mark de Mori has a chance of beating David Haye, perhaps you can explain how?
Re: Mark De Mori
Agree Haye is worldclass and at his best as good as anyone around.
I think Mark could win this fight by hanging around long enough to eventually catch Haye.
Mentally I think Haye would start to question what's going on after being out of the ring for so long and when Mark was still there after 6 I think Mark would make it ugly and start to bully him.
Mark's bodyshots are world class and can drop anyone.

One thing's for sure, we'll all get a good laugh when his next dodgy opponent is announced.
Save your breath, Haye V de Mori will never happen.

How many fighters in the top 100 has de Mori dropped with body shots?
They didn't work too well on an Aussie journeyman by the name of Johnny Wyborn.

Re: Mark De Mori
Some names being bandied about as potentially Haye's next opponent are Martin Rogan, Matt Skelton and Matt Legg.
Re: Mark De Mori
Rogan was a good boxer in his day and his Teper loss doesn't look as bad since Teper KO'd poor old David Price in two; however, he has hardly boxed himself in the last two years and could do with a warm-up himself.
