The difference is..... Holly Holm knows how to wrestle and kickbox.... Mayweather's just a man who knows how to box.... I don't think he could pull it off, even though she lost last night. One discipline isn't going to defeat a person who knows multiple ones.

A hall of fame world class boxer will beat most mma fighters - believe me. A world class wrestler or Jiu Jitsu practitioner would defeat a so so boxer. There are no MMA fighters with world class striking skills. An ABA champion or UK podium squad boxer would knock most mma fighters (their size) out before it got going.

For context, what percentage of people you have trained MMA with have any kind of Division I wrestling background? If some do, how many were All-Americans and were any Div 1 national champions? Did any place at the Worlds or at the Olympics? How many of the guys with submission grappling backgrounds have won their weight division the Mundials or won their weight division at ADCC?
