Not for a second am I complaining as I know how many guys really wanted tickets to this, but can anyone on here tell me what the top tier tickets are like? Will we be able to see anything at all?

According to Hearn Matchrooms partnership with Stubhub is them selling face value (plus the fees as with any ticket agency) tickets on stubhub that are clearly marked 'promotoer tickets' only. That is true I've seen them on there before. And that any on there being sold above face value are private sellers.

He states that no tickets have gone directly from Matchroom to Stubhub for Frampton/Quigg at all and the onkly ones on there are from private sellers (ie people who bought them from either ticketmaster or the arnea and are selling on).

So Stub Hub have traders of their own who speculate on popularity of events and do deals with promoters to take a set amount off them at a pre specified price with a view to making a profit off them on their own site? Scumbags if that's true.

Interestingly it was Paddy the Hat, Groves former trainer, who managed to get those responses out of Eddie on Twitter.

Not as far as I'm aware when I say private traders I basically mean touts who've bought them through the legit way (ie ticketmaster) in the same way you or I have but with no intention of going just doing it for resale.

The problem really is the 3rd party sites (that many ticket agencies have links with) because they have made it so anyone can become a tout from the safety of their pc screen.

Gone are the days of dodgy scousers shifting tickets outside most touting is now done by geeks who use high powerful pcs etc to get tickets for sought after events and sell them straight on via these 3rd party sites (who know full well this is going on but happily take their cut)

I was in the top tier for Haye v Ruiz and yeah theyre alright. Mind you I was on row A, although saying that I think position is often more important that row. I.e I was on row A but in the corner for Haye Ruiz but had a better view for Froch Kessler at the O2 (similar size venue) from the back row but was dead central to the ring.

Thank you, we got £60 tickets although I have no idea what makes them £20 better than the £40 ones looking at the seating plan. Again though not complaining in the slightest, just curious. Top size venue I've been to before was only 8,000ish.

+1 - sat in the top tier right in the corner above ring entrances for Froch v Groves 1 and the view was fantastic.

They must have been putting in the wrong website address as everybody else was able to access the site as normal, the problem for many was in being unable to get the tickets, even when it showed on screen that some were available.

I tried for £80's first and worked up. Was even prepared to go up to the £163's and couldn't get even one ticket in the basket before they'd gone.

Absolutely fine in my experience mate. I was literally back row on the equivalent of the 'half way line' for Haye v Ruiz had no complaints. That being said before I went a lot were telling me how shit view was from up there so maybe I'm just not that fussy!!

I bought tickets for cricket this week, the experience was so smooth (same as Ashes last year). Just picking out the specific seats you want anywhere around the stadium if you chose to. Rather than having to put in a price category and then get allocated.

That's women for you. Any serious operation would exclude them from the technical side of things every time. They can be useful for distraction techniques but that probably wasn't necessary in this instance.

Just got some chips since I was there. Solid 7/10. Not mind blowing, not terrible.

I started a thread a while back on the Hearn partnership with StubHub.

I'm pretty sure that what happens is that many tickets never actually even go on sale at the normal prices but instead are reallocated to StubHub at vastly higher prices. If my suspicion is correct this is a very immoral and possibly illegal practice. Proving it would probably be the hard part but from my perspective I've just given up ever trying to buy tickets to any show Hearn or Matchroom put on in any sport as the same old rubbish happens every time.

It's probably the opposite. Eddie will likely have a deal with Stubhub, where they will take a guaranteed % or actual number of tickets at a pre-determined price. The price is probably lower than the face value and any normal discount he gives to the fighters (10% from what I gather). The advantages to stubhub are obvious as they can punt the tickets at a higher price, but take the risk that if the venue doesn't sell out, they are left with worthless tickets. For Eddie, the advantage is guaranteed revenue, which he can book and use in his financial planning. He will also create a sense of exclusivity (think about the queues outside nightclubs when the bouncers are slow letting people in - it makes the club appear full, until you get in and notice that it's not). The exclusivity will then also drive the prices the touts at stubhub can charge.

There is definitely a place in the market for a more ethical reseller, but getting people to sell on it would be hard. Why sell for face value when you can double your money.
