80's

Duran, leonard, Hearns, Hagler, Arguello and up and coming Tyson and Chavez sr.

Could go either 50s 80s 90s or 2010

Boxing.... the only thing the 80's did well

Fashion was horrendous
music sucked ass

90s most fun decade for me, practically every division was thriving, remember the shows don king used to put on with about 5 or 6 world title fights on ?

oh dear lord, the 90 were so good.

you had the big 4: tito, de la hoya, mosley and vargas, young and prime.
bowe, holyfield, tyson and lewis in the heavyweight and nobody could touch the best boxer ever, prime jones jr. 90's realy were a special decade, arguably the best.

yep the heavy and middleweight divisions were bursting with top names, the welters were like a dream and there was no shortage of talent in the smaller weights, pretty sure we all took it for granted at the time tho

80's was great for boxing Larry Holmes then Tyson at heavyweight the 1984 USA Olympic team was the the best ever producing many future greats fighters holyfield , Whitaker,meldrick Taylor ,mark breland and Virgil hill
Duran was at his peak as well as hagler,Leonard and hearns leading to great fighters then Chavez showed why he was the no1 fighter on the planet , plus fighters like azumah nelson ,eusibo pedrosa ,wilfredo Gomez bossed the lower weights .
Personally I also like the British fighter mcguigan ,honeyghan,hoko and Bruno and the likes of rocky Kelly

i actualy voted 2000 :lol:


think about it. pacquiao's rise to stardemon was one of the most remarkable things ever done in boxing. what pac did from 2000-2009 was never seen before, what a great adventure.

margarito, williams and cotto were battling it out.

some of the best fights ever took place around that time: vasquez-marquez/ ward-gatti/ trinidad-vargas/ de la hoya-mosley
