I know he best Cunnigham a year ago but how could the board pick him over Farrag who smashed him last year.

Booth has been a great servant to the sport but has been done since he lost to Quigg.

Booth's not been done since then.

He's not as good as he used to be, but he can still be competitive at domestic level.

But this has not been a competitive fight though. Credit to him for being in there at round 7 thought it would be a 3 round fight.

McCrory was right Burnett needs to look to impress. First fight in sky I front of a decent sized crowd taken his foot off the gas and coasted too much.

Credit to Booth didn't think he would get this far in the fight hope he ends this unhurt and calls it a day.

Well booth has taken him further than anyone else so i think the fight is justified.

Saying that, the ref won't hesitate to stop this if burnett actually goes for the finish.

It maybe one of those fights that burnett looks back on in a few years and says it was very very good for his development. Everybody needs to fight cagey old pros imo. Its part of the education.

I don't think Burnett is doing this for the rounds. I did wonder early on but now I'm thinking he's just a pedestrian prospect.

Agree with you on that I really do think Ryan would have demolished him after round one.

The Farrag fight for the European title would be A great support fight for Frampton v Quigg but it's risky for Matchroom so doubt it would happen.

I think so too, maybe Hall for the British? If Booth can push him back Hall will be a hard fight,

Burnett was...very unimpressive. I understand getting 7 or 8 rounds but then was the time to step it up. He was doing the same thing all night, kept backing off, and failed to really go for the stoppage...didn't enjoy that at all.

Jason Booth has took rounds of Haskins, Ward, Galahad. Think the commentators are being a tad harsh here but least they aren't cheerleading for once. Granted Farraq done a number on Booth but only other fighters to stop him were super bantams.

When Burnett put Booth down in round one it looked like a mismatch but Booth survived. Still I thought Burnett could win any time up til round 3 but in round 4 he started to look predictable. Clear win but not impressive.

Jason Booth did great, he was brought in to get bashed up, but instead we will prob prove to be the best learning experience the Irishman could have. I like Adam Booth's work in the corner too.
