Worst job of announcing ever?
My apologies if this has been done before but I was rewatching Savador Sanchez's one sided beating of Wilfredo Gomez and noticed how the announcers were somewhat hysterically going on about Sanchez blowing it and letting Gomez "off the hook." Any other nominees for awful announcing?
Re: Worst job of announcing ever?
I saw the bout between Salvador Sanchez and Wilfredo Gomez in person while in Las Vegas during the early 1980s. No, Sanchez was blowing it during the bout. He completely dominated Gomez during the entire bout while being uncharacteristically aggressive, probably surprising Gomez as a result.

almost anything bob sheridan does ( but he did well on ali v foreman in zaire)
Re: Worst job of announcing ever?
Michael Buffer the best announcer, got ill and sounding shite on the biggest night in boxing history Mayweather vs Pac-man.

The commentators on the American feed of Benn v mcclellan did my head in, ferdie giving it "I've never seen anything like it he went down for no reason", even on the slo-mo you could see punches landing but they refused to mention them ![[icon_witsend.gif] :witzend:](./images/smilies/icon_witsend.gif)

Re: Worst job of announcing ever?
I remember in the Quarry/Lyle fight the announcer kept going on about how what a great counter puncher the crude, brawling Lyle was while he was getting counter punched silly by Quarry.
