Not suggesting his comeback wouldn't be at Heavyweight but he did look slim
Haye at cruiser would be entertaining. In terms of pure talent there are better fighters at crusier than at Heavy and it is probably his "natural" weight.
All depends how much he has left. Been a looooooooong time since he fought and the injuries won't have helped.

Still hard to imagine a fight between him and someone like Bellew though...ghost of Haye or not, he would make an absolute mess of the scouser.

i can't see haye ever fighting at cruiserweight again simply because of money he'll get at least 5x the purse at heavy weight .not sure where he's really going with this he's to small for the likes of wlad and AJ i think it's more about getting a big pay day rather than winning the world heavy weight belt

Warm up and then get in the WBA ordinary title picture and then put something on the table against bigger names.

Nicolai Firtha pulls out of fight against Hughie Fury to be a warm-up for Haye?

Names that pop into my mind: Wach, de Mori, Guillermo Jones.

Anyone else convinced he's chosen this week to make his announcement in order to steal as much of Fury's thunder as he can?

A bit of that definitely, but also I guess the knowledge that this is one of the very few weeks of the year mainstream media are talking about (heavyweight) boxing so jumping in on the coat tails of that knowing that he will 100% get more column inches doing it now rather than in 2 or 3 weeks time.

It will have to be an impressive announcement to steal any thunder.
