Tim Bradley

Post by Cent0089 »

Many fans hate this guy because that robbery in first fight with Manny Pacquiao. But he is just so exciting to watch. Very good boxing skills + he is not afraid going in exchanges. Love to see him against Shawn Porter or Kell Brook. Is there some official talks about his next oponent? :box: :box: :box:

Yep he is ok is old Tim. I remember when he came over here when he wasn't known at all (to us that is) and beat Junior Witter quite easily.
Ok Junior wasn't fantastic but the Champ at the time at least.

Tim Bradley's career clearly displays why the sport is so great and unlike any other. Here's a guy that couldn't show his face after beating Manny. He was booed everywhere he went, getting hate mail and death threats. Then in just 36 minutes with Provodnikov he completely switched the script to become one of the most popular boxers on the planet. You can't do that in any other sport or job in life.

If Floyd comes out of retirement for #50, no one deserves the fight more than Timothy Bradley. Just imagine those two styles inside the ring in a mega fight. I think TB will not allow the fight to be a stinker and has the quickness and heart to push Floyd hard. Floyd still should win but no one will give more than TB in there and that's what we need from a Floyd opponent.

I like Bradley when he comes to fight. I thought he stunk the joint out vs Marquez.

I think now he can reach the next level of his game. Fight smart. Don't go toe-to-toe, but controlled agression in the right spots. I hope he builds on the Rios stoppage and adds that finish, the end product to his game.

Bradley is much better than Thurman. I got him on a par with Brook as 2nd/3rd best Welter behind Pacquiao.

Expect to see Crawford vs Bradley as ppv 2017.

Big fan of Bradley, pleased he did a number on witter. He's strangest performance to me was the Pacquiao rematch when he thought he was clubber lang.

I agree with Ricky, he needs to get back to fighting smart, as the rough house will always come naturally to him. Sometimes it seems that fighting smart gets boring for him, but this will bring him the most success, even more so as he enters mid thirties.

Bradley certainly has the resume to make a claim he is much better than Thurman, but until they fight, its just a claim. As far as Crawford vs Bradley, they both have said there is absolutely no chance of it happening due to their close friendship. Plenty of other good welters to fight. Crawford vs Broner for example since they are both at 140, and if Crawford moves up he may still get a fight with Manny. Crawford vs Spence, Thurman, Brook, Garcia, Porter, Khan, etc.

BTW, I remember a few years back the biggest negative against Bradley was his head butts. That seems to have went away now though. Certain styles when guys match up tend to bump heads more. He sure got a lot of criticism for it.

Good post. I think bradleys a little short-armed next to Floyd, which would give him problems but still you make good points.

Indeed. Bradley would have gave it a go but Floyd's reach & range are central to his style. Imo Lara would have been more suited to outpoint Floyd (in a stinking fight) than Tim.

I always found it interesting Ward and Bradley fought in the amateurs. Would interesting to see how he coped with Wards height/reach.

Tim Bradley is the best welterweight in the world after Floyd and Manny just based off of resume alone. Without doubt he should be considered THE guy at welterweight once manny retires.

I have a lot of respect for Bradley and the degree of backlash from the first Manny bout was ridiculous.

He's fought very good opposition and is one of the most versatile fighters today.

x2. Bradley didn't deserve the backlash he got. He wasn't one of the judges.

I agree with you 100%!! The only fight Tim seems to want is the Canelo bout, none of the WW's have spoken his name, especially since the way he easily thrashed Rios.
