If Tyson Fury loses......

Post by Mimmy »

Do you think it will be his last fight, or do you think he will face the likes of Joshua or Haye in a comeback for a big earner?

Good question. I don't think he'll fight for a long time when he loses. If he comes back then i doubt he would want to be canon fodder for Joshua. Haye will probably be retired again

It likely depends on how he loses and how money hungry he is. He's going to be a rich man come Saturday. People can talk all they want about the Furys having money already, for Tyson and his wife personally this, for them, is a whole new level. If he goes out on his shield there'll be more to come, if he wants it, and there's probably no easier way for him than to fight. If he gets walloped early or looks well out of his depth his stock will obviously fall significantly.

Anyhow, nothing's decided yet, Wlad is on the slide and his camp has not gone as well as it could. There's not been a better time to get a shot at him for over a decade.

If he gets beat, it really depends on the manner of the defeat.

Be stupid to get all this way to the money fights, then call it a day after one payday.

But it's his choice at the end of the day.

Won't be his last fight. There are loads of big fights out there and Wlad will surely retire within a couple of years max. Fury has plenty of time to come back and there's no shame in losing to Wlad.

As unpredictable as he is, if he get's smashed early doors or loses by miles on points while getting busted up or running then I cannae see him fighting seriously again. If he did I think it would be after several years out and end up a half assed money chasing scheme. For a heavy he turned pro very young and he's always had lofty ambitons. I just think either of the above results along with everything else would mean he was loath to come back.

However if he loses a close points decision or gets stopped in an up and down thriller where he also hurts/drops Wlad then I think he'll be able to convince himself that he could/should have won and he'll either chase a rematch or chase Wilder or potentially even Haye.

Until Joshua is at world title level I cannae see that happening.

I think he'll lose but unlike many of Wlad's challengers I think he 'could' win. If he boxes behind his jab and can sting Wlad enough to make him go into his shell I can see him winning on points. He's got the reach, guts and build to do this.

Hes young enough to bounce back if he loses.

Obviously there would be a great deal of pride hurt- and he might take some time away.... but he's got 7 or 8 years in what people would consider HW prime years

Anyway this is hypothetical- lets see what happens

as long as fury doesn't get blasted out in the 1st or quit i don't think a lose will be the end , there's a few big fights out there for fury after this .
i could see tyson fighting AJ ,wilder or haye in the 18 months

Hopefully he doesn't get demolished early as this could psychologically hurt him for a while. 100 percent he could come back if his mind stays strong.
