Shane McGuigan taking a huge risk if he's in the corner then, 5 weeks before Frampton-Quigg.

Good point - this will be interesting.

The Board will let him get away with it - even if they have to resort to their favourite "we have not received a written complaint in triplicate, so cannot take any action".

Either that or any process will sure to be delayed until after the Frampton/Quigg fight (and surely he couldn't be suspended without a hearing) by which time we will have all forgotten about it and the issue will have gone away.

No not an MBC undercard, just that some off the undercard will be MBC licensed, because the GBA are happy to work with MBC and anyone else they see fit and in this instance the BBBofC cant prevent them from doing so

Why isn't he going with the BBBofC I thought they said they would be happy to sanction him after the chisora fight (the boxing one not the other one).

Haye sanctioning

Post by Cazelo »

So the BBBofC have said they're not, then the stories were that GBA were sanctioning it with an MBC undercard and now the GBA have distanced themselves. Anyone got an idea of what's going on?

The board said they haven't been contacted about it, GBA are saying they're not, if it was Malta we would have heard about it by now. Only a fool would buy a ticket given Haye's reputation and the shit undercard.

It wouldn't surprise me if the two promoters Haye's got involved with it didn't actually realise they need a promoters license and just thought they had to book the venue and put tickets on sale.

If the O2 holds 20,000. How many do they think it will sell? I know Haye is a name but I can't help feeling a smaller venue would have been more suitable and selling out the O2 is ambitious

GayJay has sold it out, so that should give him an idea of his place.

To be honest I don't think the BBBoC can do a thing about it. The made a stink re Chisora vs Haye but that was because it was the first time.... since then though there have been many non BBBoC bills in the UK and really not the fuss.... yes we can say it is due to the lack of publicity in this bills, but I think it is because the BBBoC realise they cannot do a thing about it.

Something does not sit right that a fighter who is suspended as he has a suspended jail sentence being allowed to fight in the UK.

Question is: What high ranking bbbofc fighter would risk upsetting the applecart. I would imagine the likes of Fury & Joshua would give it a wide birth. And ultimatly that must be Hayes goal - taking on the best. :box:
