I'm not sure Canelo & GGG's opponents can be easily compared. Martin Murray for instance has now moved up but he was pretty big at the weight, Lemieux a fully fledged middle with legit power and handspeed.

P4P is Canelo better? Sure. But we're not talking pound-for-pound, we're talking a guy, who's style has been focused heavily on heavy hands and brut strength moving up a division. If the weight class jump negates Canelo's bully boy tactics then he might not be as good as Lemieux at 160.

I'm assuming you mean p4p Canelo is better than Lemiuex, not GGG? It's only a 6lb weight difference and IMO Canelo's performance would improve from not having to drain so much - he's really a small natural middleweight. I agree that the weight class jump would somewhat negate Canelo's tactics, but I think it would also improve his performance, not to mention that his boxing skills, particularly defense, are a lot better than Lemiuex's.
