Shame on wlad!!!

Post by Chepppaaa »

he realy tries every trick in the book to have an advantage over his opponents.

* strange gloves

* refferys and judges who get paid out, so they wont deduct or disqualify him with his constant grabing, holding & leaning over

* now

Fury has made a complaint to the Britsh Boxing Board of Control ahead of tonight's title fight against Wladimir Klitschko that the canvas in the ring is too soft. Said Fury's agent: "The foam underlay is too soft. It's five inches thick, which doesn't help a big lad going into a ring. We've never seen canvas like this before."

like i often said, i am so happy that chicken is gone. hopefully fury sends him to retiremant and i dont even like fury, but anything is better than that boring cheater wlad. kovalev knocks out ward. what a great scenario it would be 3 of the most boring and complicated boxers gone!!!!

A soft canvas.... really?

You'd think Fury would be delighted with a softer canvas :OhYes:

Not that he has a snowball's chance in Hades, but I can see how Fury would be crapping his pants about a soft canvas.

Makes it harder to run...

You can't blame him. As champion he's earned the right to dictate things his way - Mayweather did it all the time.

my answer: no

dicate some basic rules, yes

dictate judges and refs, so you can do excessive holding and win on cards, when u lost on cards, on top take strange gloves and ring canvas: no

They are practically the same weight, with Fury just being a few inches taller. It would have the same impact on both guys. The "paying of the judges" comment makes no sense. Wlad's never had a disputable fight on the cards. This whole thread is kind of pointless honestly...

fury would be slower, wlad has more power than fury and ultimatly it is a big disadvantage when you want to run away from someone with more power than yours, but you cant, cause you stuck in the mud

holding 1000000000000000000000000000000 times against povetkin, that was a DQ loss, simple as that.

Klitschko is going to quit. Again. He's lost just about every psychological battle he could, canvas is just another one. One look at this forum shows there will be plenty of fluffers here left to pickup the pieces. So you guys can get a good cry in together, wondering how it happened. Luckily your all trained by Dr. K himself in holding, hugging, and stalling. That should get ya through these cold winter days.

So Wlad's camp told those who put the ring together to make the ring floor softer. How is that done.

Between the canvas and the boards of the ring are cushioning mats, the canvas is not directly on top of the boards. The more spongy the matting the more difficult it is to move about on.

Chepp,

Can you post proof Wlad has paid judges and "refferys" please?

I do not like all of the advantages.I don't like having gloves chosen by the champ.
I have no problem with the champ vetoing a certain brand.But to dictate which gloves is unfair in
my eyes.
Too much ring padding is insane.There should be standards as to the thickness of the ring padding in championship fights.
The picking of the referee is another one I have never liked.Everyone had problems with
Floyd picking Bayliss but do not have a problem with Klit doing it.Again I have no problem with the champ having the right to veto a certain ref or a certain judge but not pick them.

Too many advantages anymore for certain fighters

They are both choosing their own gloves. Chicken? The heavyweight champion? Like him or not - chicken hardly comes to mind. You see his last two fights? Pulev and Jennings are very tough contenders. Tougher than anyone Fury has ever fought. Why can't we just be thrilled we got the two best light middles in the world last weekend and this one we get the two best heavies. Think Fury has a real shot. Wlad is getting older. Chickens don't fight number one contenders. Not that Wilder is a chicken but look who he is fighting. Fury would wipe him out. So would Povetkin, so would Pulev, so would Jennings. All real fighters. After tonight Wlad will have fought them all. Stop being a internet wanna be tough guy and support our sport.

Are you sure about the gloves?The last article I read stated that Wlad's team chose a thumbless glove and Fury was irate because he couldn't fit in them properly.

That is a lame trick to play by Wlad, anyone else doing this would be totally ridiculed instead of being defended like some people do here for him.

But isn't Wlad the more mobile and more explosive fighter as well as the one who benefits more from the fight being kept at a certain distance? I don't see how having a spongier ring surface helps him more than Fury, unless he's already been training on it.

I do think all these sorts of issues should have been sorted out a long time before now and it reflects badly on Team Wlad if there is any validity to these claims. How much money has to be involved before things can get organised without any fuss or rigmarole?
