Re: Shame on wlad!!!
WBO and WBA rules state 1 inch of foam padding. There was over 3 inches.
Sounds fishy but it is fixed now.

When has Wlad quit?SFW wrote:Klitschko is going to quit. Again. He's lost just about every psychological battle he could, canvas is just another one. One look at this forum shows there will be plenty of fluffers here left to pickup the pieces. So you guys can get a good cry in together, wondering how it happened. Luckily your all trained by Dr. K himself in holding, hugging, and stalling. That should get ya through these cold winter days.

He's babbling about that across several threads. I'm not really sure what he's on about to be honest.crusader wrote:When has Wlad quit?SFW wrote:Klitschko is going to quit. Again. He's used to it though, he has the same thing in his ring he trains in in Austria.HyacinthusTurnipseed wrote:But isn't Wlad the more mobile and more explosive fighter as well as the one who benefits more from the fight being kept at a certain distance? I don't see how having a spongier ring surface helps him more than Fury, unless he's already been training on it.
I do think all these sorts of issues should have been sorted out a long time before now and it reflects badly on Team Wlad if there is any validity to these claims. How much money has to be involved before things can get organised without any fuss or rigmarole?

IF Wlad ever quit it was the Ross Purity fight. Never saw it but read he ran out of gas. Wlad certainly did not quit against Sanders or Brewster.

Listen.
I am probably the biggest critic of Klitschko on this board.
I do not have him in my P4P top 10.
And I do question, because of his tepid resume, if he actually deserves HOF consideration
(although I acknowledge that he will likely get in and pretty easily).
Yet, even I can see what a joke this fight is going to be.
Fury has NEVER been hit like he is going to be hit tonight.
And it isn't like he has a great chin to begin with.
This is going to be bad.
And it will have nothing to do with gloves, or soft canvasses, or any other excuse.
One guy is for real the other is hype.
And it will be unavoidable discerning who is who tonight.

What is the decision Wlad won that he really should have lost?Chepppaaa wrote:Ian1973 wrote:You can't blame him. As champion he's earned the right to dictate things his way - Mayweather did it all the time.
my answer: no
dicate some basic rules, yes
dictate judges and refs, so you can do excessive holding and win on cards, when u lost on cards, on top take strange gloves and ring canvas: no

Shame on the Fury camp, for being such crybabies and complainers.
Peter Fury changed his name to Fury to seem tougher, but then quit boxing after being KOed in his pro debut?

Not much of a fighting man.

Figured this would happen. Team Fury just planting the seeds of excuse for when they lose.
Soft ring? Seriously? Soft ring?!?

He's gonna quit against a guy who's best win is a decision against Chisora.
Re: Shame on wlad!!!
Both guys have to fight on the damn surface. It's the same for both. Fury is the bigger guy. Won't he want to lean on Wlad and try to wear him down? What's he gonna try to do outbox him from the outside like Mayweather?!

..yep, as largely expected...diddy wrote:Figured this would happen. Team Fury just planting the seeds of excuse for when they lose.
Re: Shame on wlad!!!
With all the complaining Fury is doing. Im sitting here having second thoughts thinking Fury might quit before the fight even starts.
Re: Shame on wlad!!!
How could we all forgot how fleet of foot Fury is?!? A master boxer off the back foot who loves to use the ring...against a ring novice like Wlad with terrible technical ability and no jab of course Fury wants a surface that allows him to use his superior movement and skills!!
What a joke.
What a joke.
Re: Shame on wlad!!!
Just trying to imagine that Barcelona pays judges referee and supervisor and dictates things against Chelsea. In football it is impossible. In pro boxing it is way to do.Ian1973 wrote:You can't blame him. As champion he's earned the right to dictate things his way - Mayweather did it all the time.
The only organisation in pro boxing that pays to referee and judges like it is in every other sport is https://tmdb.eu/trademark/014446934/eu/ ... p-champion
In all others WBC WBO IBF WBA and others ABCD it is promoter who pays to judges and referee

I think Fury just wanted a ring that fell in the rules.diddy wrote:How could we all forgot how fleet of foot Fury is?!? What a joke.
WBO and WBA officials present at the arena both said it did not fall in the 1 inch of padding rules stated for
title fights.
According to Wlad's camp. Wlad is comfortable in a ring with extra padding and has trained on one similar in Austria.
Wlad has every natural advantage in this fight I do not think following the alphabet groups rules on rings
is asking too much.
But again this is just my opinion.I am just hoping for a good fight.

How is it planting fornicating seeds when they've had the foam removed? Now they have no excuse because they had it removed, for once just think before you post.diddy wrote:Figured this would happen. Team Fury just planting the seeds of excuse for when they lose.
Soft ring? Seriously? Soft ring?!?
Wrapping hands without a fury team member present now, these lot are a joke.
He is the better fighter and has all the natural advantages. What's with the nonsense? It's a fight he should win quite handily.

Re: Shame on wlad!!!
wlad isn't doing shit.
i had fury taking first 3 rounds but almost always the champ
get at least the first on the cards even if he doesn't throw a punch.
4th round was even but maybe i gave wlad the nod.
not really an action packed fight yet.
5th to fury. i have it 4-1 fury after 5 but i'm sure official cards have it closer
PBC card was typical walkovers

Re: Shame on wlad!!!
i have fury taking all but one close round after 8. fury on his toes and moving well, working jab well, initiating and getter of most exchanges. every single time these two have gotten close all fight klit has reached out with his left and pulled down fury's head and put him in a headlock and the ref warns fury for it. klit also locks his right arms under fury's jab and his left around fury's waist, and then after clinching tries to hit during the clinches. klit is so painfully boring. he really isn't doing shit and looked tired from the 4th round on. if i was an official judge klit would be approaching that time where he needs a ko to win, but i know in germany he is probably even or maybe even ahead. klit is trying to put a little more pressure on but still not much out of him and way to much clinching
