Referee Tony Weeks Incompetent

Post by Tony1244 »

Referee Tony Weeks is completely Incompetent.

Whether he is crooked or simply inept, I do not know.

He either had a wager on Wlad, or he has no idea what he's doing.

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and say it's the later.

He warned Fury several times.

Dunno if the point shoulda been deducted then but it certainly could have been before.

Conversely, he could have talked to Wlad about turning his back, which also happened more than it should have.

Look, the right guy won.

And the refereeing had nothing to do with it.

Both men could have been flagged for holding but neither was ever even warned for it.

So, that was actually fair.

He was frustrated.

Fury and his team did their homework.

The beauty of that butt was that it opened up a cut over his other eye. I didn't think Weeks was bad and most importantly the judges were spot on!!

Yeah, I agree with you they really did implement the perfect game plan, Wlad had no answer and tried to get Tyson off his game.

I have no reason to be bitching as Fury won the fight anyway, but Weeks is Incompetent. Why he is Incompetent is open for debate.

It certainly appears that way. Tony Weeks favors certain fighters.

Actually, and very surprising for a big time fight, I thought the ref did a good job. And, also surprising for a big time fight, I thought the judges did a good job.

I thought the point deduction was unnecessary, but other than that he did fine. The point deduction didn't matter since Wlad had already given away the fight.

I was surprised that even with the point deduction Raul Caiz scored it 116-111 for Fury. Very poor decision. No way did Fury do enough to deserve a win. Incredibly poor performance by both guys. I'd ask for my money back but I watched it for free.

Doesn't sound like you saw it well because there was a very clear loser in this fight, I agree the performances weren't good but enough for the win is exactly what Fury did.

I think Weeks did ok. Horrible fight to tef. All kinds of grabbing, rabbits and heads. Breaking apart those 2 big fannies would have been physically draining for Tony.

The point deduction occurred exactly as fury hurt vlad and vlad turned away, clear bias. And yes the head but missed aswell.

As others have stated, I think Weeks did a commendable job shoving those two elephant-sized boxers around, forcing them into some kind of action.

I've never liked Weeks as a ref. Mostly because he's way too quick to halt a fight. He'll give one guy all the chances in the world to fight out of it and then turn around and stop the fight on the other guy after only receiving half the punishment. Doesn't make any sense.

He never warned Wlad once for holding and that's all Wlad did the whole fight. Then Wlad would continuously turn his head away from Fury's punches and awards Wlad with a point calling Fury for rabbit punches. Sure, some of those were purposely behind the head but you can't call a guy for punches behind the head when the guy is clearly turning his head. What's Fury supposed to do? Wait for him to turn his head around again? Joke.

exactly.

wlad always bought refs some land in ukraine how else could it be, that wlad over the last years of his career who always allowed to wrestle, hold, grab, turn, lean over, everything is illegal if you do it constantly and wlad was always doing it constantly, but nothing ever happened, like all the refs forgot the rule book all of the sudden, but ones the opponent does some illegal stuff, than the rulle book is in full effecct. i am so happy that he is out of boxing.

Boy, you said it. I've never been on board with the ass smooching this guys gotten over the years. He's the worst boxer to ever hold that title for an extended period of time. I just hope that he passes on the rematch clause because he'll probably end up winning the darn thing back because Fury is probably already back up to 300lbs from all the partying he's done in the last two days. lol. Good for him though, I'd probably do the same thing.

Yes. Of course. Certainly. Klitschko was the only one in there who did anything even remotely illegal! How dare people accuse Pure Boy Fury of head-butting, using his shoulder, hitting low, etc. Why next they'll be saying that Rocky Marciano used questionable tactics. Pshaw! I shake my head in dismay.
