Post by Chepppaaa »

hahahahhahahhahhahahahhaha....

that shows me how less boxing knowledge is in here. most of you should watch table tennis or some other stuff, but not boxing, cause you do not know boxing.

so many guys in here had wlad the best boxer on the planet, a robotic, dumb, slow, technicle c-level boxer who had no answer against a plump fury hahahahahahahahaha.....

Thank you.

It was comical how many people here were saying wlad was #1.

Those two looked like amateurs compared to Canelo and Cotto.

i mean, i have nothing against a litle bit of nonsense.

but ever calling wlad, #1 p4p was not even a joke, straight up total nonsense, like saying new york is the capital of australia

wlad was always robotic, wlad was always dumb and technicly limited and he is so stupid, that in a fight loosing, instead of punching his opponent, he is wrestling his opponent, basicly doing nothing productiv to win. this guy should be nowhere a list of top 100 boxers in the world.

loosing to a not trained, out of shape fury, having 0 answers ones stepping inside a ring with somebody his size hahahahahaha......god am i happy after floyd, now wlad, if ward now goes, than boxing is in a great spot. but peops out here realy dont know boxing.

Things change. It was perfectly reasonable to have Wlad number one on his resume and dominance.

no

somebody as technicly limited should be nowhere of a list of best boxers in the world, nowhere !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this shows you that record and ability are 2 seperated things and ability will be always more important than record, because i can fight 100 bums and be undefeated and have a better record than vasyl lomachenko who has around 6 fights, but vasyl is 100 times better the boxer than i am with my record full of nobodys and no

Wlad is good against smaller fighters but the first time he fights someone bigger he doesnt have a clue what to do and basically froze in the ring.

These new heavyweights are going to destroy these big guys
within a few rounds , guys like Joesph Parker who is twice as
fast as Wlad .

You can't spell, you are rude and you are arrogant.

You might gain more respect if / when you develop into a better, more reasoned and likable person.

Just a thought. ;;-)

no, i am just making sense and you don't

this is a boxing forum, i have nothing against anybody. but if somebody has 0 boxing knowledge like you, who rated a technicle c level fighter as #1 boxer in the world, than i say you have no clue of boxing. thats simple fact.

I rarely agree with Chepppaaa, and I agree he is rude, arrogant and can't spell. However, in this case, he is 100% correct. Rating Wlad as the champion or #1 heavyweight was obvious, but anyone with a clue about boxing knew how technically limited he was and that he never belonged at the top of a p4p list (although I did have him lower to middle top 10 based on resume). Dominance over a weak division doesn't equal greatness.

Been saying for a hot minute that Klitschko's time was almost up. Even made a post a couple days ago where I predicted Fury would win. And yeah, Klitschko as top P4P was nonsense. Size was hugely relevant to his success. As you saw today: he couldn't slip a jab. How can anyone who can't do that be the best fighter in the world?

It is subjective isn't it?

I think the problem was Mayweather retired, Manny got beat again and it sort of left a void at the top of the P4P rankings. Wladimir sort of fell into top spot by default as much as anything based on the fact that he was undisputed world champion and unbeaten for ten years. Based on his record, he's faced everyone, he had to be close to the top at least.

Fair enough. I just think that when rating p4p there has to be an element of assessing how good fighters are by watching them, not just on record. Wlad has always been technically limited and has been flatted by poor opposition. On the other hand, while the Wlad we saw tonight was clearly past his best, I think a lot of people have been seriously underestimating Tyson Fury. He's flawed, but a far more complete boxer than Wlad has ever been.

I agree and have said for a while that Tyson Fury is a far better boxer than some people give him credit for. I didn't think he'd beat Wladimir primarily because I didn't think he'd handle Wlad's power. Fair play to Fury he bamboozled Klitschko, he couldn't handle the big fella.

People who think Wlad was lb for lb #1 strike me as having similar neuro-connectivity issues as people who think Donald Trump would be a great commander in chief. Can't wait to see what excuses Fat Dan gives for his usual cluelessness . . . .

He'd ruled what was the weakest division in the history of boxing. He'd only beaten one guy who at the time could've ever been considered in the top 20 lb for lb (Haye) in a horrible no action affair. In boxing it's about the quality, not the quantity. I've been saying that about Wlad for years . . .Calzaghe was undefeated and beat a better crop of fighters than Wlad, but Wlad because he was a heavyweight was declared an all-time great and guys like Calzaghe and Darius Michalczewski, who had similar records, were never placed on such a pedestal.

I don't agree w the Michalczewski comparison as he never stepped up w Jones (albeit, Jones never stepped up with him either). Fair comparison with Calzaghe though.
Give Wlad some credit though, it's not like he's been side-stepping anyone over the last 10 years. He has taken on the biggest challenges and dispatched them all. It may not have always been entertaining, but he was dominant. Everyone said the same thing about Larry Holmes in that he beat a bunch of subpar challengers. But, maybe it was because Holmes was just so dominant against everyone in the 80s.

Klitschko left home to fight people who weren't over 40. But alternately, there's no way he is a P4P more talented guy than Calzaghe. A guy who did a lot more with his career? Yeah, he's that. Not even arguable.
