"experts" when refering to knowledge of the history/origins is the wrong word. i know you are going to be peeved at this, barry, but words and their meanings are important if we are to communicate PRECISELY (rather like a shot by ray robinson). i would suggest the word AUTHORITY
for someone with the knowledge you claim to have. using expert to describe one who trains fighters, dogs or pigeons is more accurate
i cant explain why these words seem better used this way - its just the feel of them, you either have it or you dont.

Do you remember their great fight for the CW 160 title? I saw the fight on ITV - what an absolute war! The atmosphere was electric. Both down. Crowd going wild. Kaylor saying in the interview "I went down?" - Awesome stuff.
Both emigrated to North America when their boxing careers were over which is relatively unusual for UK boxers though I believe Gumbs was from St Kitts in the the Caribbean originally. Kaylor was married to an American girl. Gumbs went to Canada where he'd make some contacts at the time of the 2 Ralph Hollitt fights. Last I heard Kaylor was doing something in the sports fitness area. But for Roy things went badly awry. He was convicted of importing cocaine, given a hefty jail term and expects to be deported to his island birthplace when he finally gets out. Widely different endings to their dreams of a fresh start in the new world.

Well, you whiny-ass morons are going to have to find something else other than the moderator rant! Being that I have started classes back this semseter I told John Sheppard a couple of days ago that after three, or four years, I was giving up being a moderator as I have more important things to focus on rather than trying to "father" those of you that know no better, mainly thats you decagon, so you'll have to think of something else to rant about now! Oh, and being that I am no longer moderator, I now have absolutely no reserves about what I might say to people who make completely stupid ass comments, so Decagon---if you whined about me tearing you a new before, oh it will be a lot worse now...that is unless you refrain from making the consistent, dumbass, unresearched, unknowing comments that you have become known for! Now that will be up to you, but you already know what I can do to you, and as you said "your reputation" while having my hands somewhat tied, so again I'll say it, all you have to do is just stick to wqhat you know and leave the historical boxing debate to others who know what they are talking about!
