To be fair, I've read that on here twice in as many days.
And we're supposed to be knowledgeable boxing fans
Bet365 have Joshua a favourite over Fury, AJ flattening Fury is a common opinion from casuals, boxing and fans, and also the betting market.
and you'd think fight fans and bookmakers would learn before jumping on board the hype train.
It's very difficult to assess where AJ is in relation to world class heavies right now. He looks fantastic and I wouldn't bet against him beating Fury when he reaches that level but if they fought right now, I would be concerned AJ wasn't ready for the step up.
I'd also say, even as a Fury fan and someone who rates him, he shocked even me and stepped up in estimations on Saturday night. How anyone could see him bamboozle Wlad like that then predict confidently that AJ or Haye flattens him I don't know. Both would be interesting affairs and a lot of intriguing style match ups there, but Fury is no one's easy night after that showing.
So was Price flattening Fury a few years ago. Not necessarily saying AJ couldn't beat him, but it's far too early in his career to really know.[/quote]
And you wouldn't bet on Price seeing the 5th round against Tyson now.
As you say, AJ certainly has the potential to one day beat Fury (he may even have the tools now) but I'd write Fury off at your peril
If anything, I wouldn't be overly surprised if the jump up in class would be too great for AJ and he could be the one who could get exposed.
AJ isn't even at the stage Price was when they were calling out Fury , he needs to fight a lot better calibre of opponent to get the experience to deal with Fury
I'm not sure whats better Wlad the Champ or Fury ...............Some of heavyweight Boxing's hof's would be turning in their grave's.........Fury is terrible
Used to be a lot worse when Bruno was on the BBC and the whole country used to watch the fights. All you have to do is ask these people did they pay 16.95 to watch it? I doubt the majority of them did.
Saying that though, I read some right shite on this forum, some of the stuff some of you have posted would get you a job on the Daily Star.

It is 10-10 it's the Must score points system. Boxrec and wiki have the scoring system described wrong.
I wouldn't bet my house on it but I'm sure the rules are that the round winner has to be scored 10 points and if it's a drawn round regardless of knock downs and points deductions it reverts back to a 10-10 round.

I thought ten point must was a fighter must get 10 before deductions or knockdowns? That's what I've always used when judging

Agree with this, so with a point deduction, you score the round and then deduct the point, so if Tyson won the round it would be 9-9, and if Wlad won the round it would be 10-8, with no knockdowns.

To save going round the houses again on how the 10 point must system works, see the following thread - http://boxrec.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=186170 . The round with the point deduction against Fury should have been scored 9-9 if Fury otherwise won the round. Had Fury won the round but suffered, say, a flash knockdown (and no point deduction for fouls), that would have been 10-10.

That's actually one thing that really annoys me - some people will always score a round with a flash knockdown as 10-8 in favour of the boxer who scored the knockdown, irrespective of how dominant the other boxer might have been.

I agree with you - it's the myth of the "automatic 10-8 round". Makes me cringe whenever I hear a commentator come out with that one.

I get you so a deduction is a deduction even on a drawn round but a drawn round due to kds must be scored 10-10?
The deduction doesn’t come into it until the final bell. The cards have a deductions column, so you score the round as normal, say 10-9 then do the -1 when totting up the cards at the end of the fight. That’s what causes the miscalculations, for example Brodie-Chi 1.
