Chisora signs for Saurland.
Chisora signs for Saurland.
Reported on Fightnews.... fighting next week.
I was wondering what Johnny Nelson was talking about at the end of the PPV - "and next week we are in Germany".... stunned silence from the pundits..... "well at least I am".
Sounds like the Chisora fight will be on Sky or possibly on the Sky "on demand" service.

imagine he'll be out on the same card as Groves in early 2016 aswell...
Re: Chisora signs for Saurland.
Opponent for Price at some point? I would expect Price to jack it. Seems a nice big lad but it's just not there.

Joshua, Whyte, Hughie Fury, Price and Towers in the UK & Teper, Takam, Chagaev, Szpilka, Browne, Hammer, Helenius 2, Ustinov and Charr in Europe.steve689 wrote:Opponent for Price at some point? I would expect Price to jack it. Seems a nice big lad but it's just not there.
Plenty of names out there for Chisora...
Re: Chisora signs for Saurland.
There's live boxing scheduled on the planner for 10pm on Sky Sports 3 on Sat. Doesn't say who on the synopsis. Must be this.stujones wrote:Reported on Fightnews.... fighting next week.

I think that slot is the replay, for those who didn't buy the PPV, of fury/wlad. They usually show the PPV a week later on sky sports and they sometimes 'mask' it on the EPG for a while too.Stuarty30 wrote:There's live boxing scheduled on the planner for 10pm on Sky Sports 3 on Sat. Not since it's all on demand...the PPv will be on demand in a few days.

Good move for del. good fights to be made in Europe.
Frank deserves a lot if credit for what he did for Del though. Made him a lot of money. Hope this doesn't end in a court case.

Sauerland have a few decent heavyweights, I imagine they have signed Del boy with a few to using him as an opponent.

Think Frank will be relatively happy with this, he is'nt going to be able to make anything out of Delboy without significant risk, and then theres the fact he looks like he is now rolling down the wrong side of the hill. My guess is we will still see Chisora on BN occasionally when the opportunity arrises.
Frank will probably chase Whyte down if he loses to AJ so he has a good level London HW.
Re: Chisora signs for Saurland.
sure on my planner that was Degale/Bute replayStuarty30 wrote:There's live boxing scheduled on the planner for 10pm on Sky Sports 3 on Sat. Doesn't say who on the synopsis. Must be this.stujones wrote:Reported on Fightnews.... fighting next week.

Mine just says a big fight from the world of boxing, but the programme is called Live Fight Night.
Re: Chisora signs for Saurland.
Does this mean Del Boy against the winner of the Helenius Teper fight - or have I got the wrong promoters?

Has to be a Joshua fight, surely..? He'd get minced in a couple of rounds.
Re: Chisora signs for Saurland.
As others have said, there are some good European level fights out there for Chisora. Not sure how motivated he would remain if he was fighting for the blue belt instead of moving up, but realistically he will never be close to a World title fight again.

Cant see this card on the Virgin schedule anymore
Re: Chisora signs for Saurland.
I'd bet on them building Chisora and Price up with 2 or 3 wins each against solid low risk C level opposition. Then putting them in against each other to make a decent domestic payday.
Then feeding the loser to other good European prospects and attempting to push the winner toward a payday against Fury (unlikely to happen while he holds the belts) or another Brit (Haye or Joshua most likely)
Neither has a big future and will need to be well managed, marketed and protected if they want to make anything from them.

Chisora and allegedly split
I see Dereck Chisora got he's new venture with the sauerland Brothers off to a good start with a tko win.
when's fit and motivated he's always a handful for any heavy weight in the world
but why did him and Frank actually split ?
can anyone shed any light on it

Re: Chisora signs for Saurland.
My Finish isn't exactly great but did Nisse called Chisora a coward for refusing to spar with Helenius?

Money talks, no room in boxing for principles...especially in the case of the promoters.
Re: Chisora signs for Saurland.
Helenius' promoter accused Chisora of being a coward, Nisse responded by saying we all know who the real coward is.Tarkus wrote:My Finish isn't exactly great but did Nisse called Chisora a coward for refusing to spar with Helenius?

Don't speak a word of Finnish but google translate usually does a good job.
