Eddie Hearn wants Joshua - Fury

Eddie Hearn is wanting to match his prospect Anthony Joshua against new champ Tyson Fury
this coming summer.
I personally think that is rushing things for Joshua.Joshua appear to have more talent than any other
prospect at the moment,but has a very weak resume for someone challenging for a world title.
I am beginning to wonder if Hearn knows something about Joshua that we don't and is trying to cash out in what would be a monster payday in England.
Or is Hearn that confident in Joshua that he is willing to risk his big meal ticket against the champ?

He'd knock out Fury I think. Though it may still be too early for him to handle the pressure of being Champion, and all the competition he'd be facing afterward.

Dillian Whyte in a few weeks will be his biggest test to date, so I look forward to how he looks there.

I just think it is too early.I would wait if I was his management.Build the interest in all markets and capitalize on a huge payoff when he was slightly more seasoned.
I know he looks like a beast right now but how is he going to handle going more than a couple of rounds?
How is he going to handle hitting someone who will actually be looking to win and not survive?

What "levels" did Fury progress through since KJ?

Now would anyone give any of those opponents a chance vs Joshua?? Would any of those 4 names take him past 2 rounds?

While there are levels in boxing, the Heavyweight division is horribly devoid of talent Joshua is already at the level he needs to be to win a world title. Infact the only fighter in that above list ranked higher than Joshua on boxrec is Cunningham (who surely retains cruiserweight points??).

Successful? incredibly. Long? not at all. Joshua had a short and phenomenal boxing career in the ams, and only started boxing age 17 i think.

Let's see how the Whyte fight goes first. I still remember Bruno/Cummings Lots of boxers go through their indestructible period followed by it's just a 'set back' period. AJ isn't' going to KO everyone and retire with all the belts and an unblemished record that's for sure. To answer whether he's ready for Tyson I don't think so personally, If he had fought Wlad on Saturday, Wlad would still be champ today.

i think fury would beat joshua with out much trouble at the moment don't get me wrong AJ could take him out in the 1st if he lands but i have a feeling fury is one of those fighters that is much harder to beat than he looks plus fury won't stand in front of AJ he'd be moving constantly and how will AJ be after 6 rounds we don't know yet ,i think it would be stupid to throw AJ in yet till he's fought someone that's more than a punch bag

We haven't seen a tired Joshua yet either, for all we know he could be blowing out of his arse after 4 rounds, having not made it that far yet. That much bulk too doesn't equate to staying power for me. Mid to late rounds with someone like Fury leaning on him, tiring him out him out would make for an easy KO.

Too early for Joshua. He would have a chance of winning but a stronger chance of being dragged into deep water and drowned by The King of the Hill.

What's the hurry? He needs rounds. Two years from today might make sense.

Well said. It's still too early to tell how good Joshua is. HE knows that. That's why he is working so hard to better himself.

2016 should be the year where he fights some top level and DURABLE opponents.

Then we'll know more.

I think Camp Eddie Hearns thinking is along the lines of
££££££££££££££££££

But aside from that he will look at it and think even if AJ loses it is likely to be a points loss that will not be too damaging to AJ, there will be a possible money spinning rematch
And he won't want to wait and build it up in case Fury loses and the opportunity to make all that lovely £££ passes him by.
