Fonfara vs Kovalev if Adonis fight doesn't come through, who wins??

Post by Undefeated49-0 »

It seems that Fonfara is kind of the measuring stick between who is better concerning Superman and Kova, personally I think he'd be a good test for Sergey but I'm not sure he wins if he gets hit with the kind of shots that he got with vs the likes of Cleverly (whom Kova destroyed).

I think this would be a good match up for both fighters should the Adonis fight fail to materialize.

What are your thoughts, who wins and how??

Is it a serious question? Fonfara is a B level fighter.

fonfara is much better than people are giving him credit for.
he's been a pro almost 10 years and only 28 and looks like he is still improving a little each time out.
kovalev would walk him down though

Would rather see Fonfara against Beterbiev.

When is this Adonis fight supposed to come along after pascal, before ward in 2016?

Easy win for Kovalev, would be a re-run of the Cleverly fight.

Can't see Fonfara giving Kovalev much trouble, not that he isn't a decent fighter, because he is.
But he is too similar to Cleverly in his style, although he seems to hit a bit harder.

The only fight that would get people excited at Light Heavy is Adonis, but that's obviously not happening anytime soon.
Until it does, I suppose Fonfara is as good an opponent as any.

I love how Adonis found the balls to say that Kovalev was ducking him on the Showtime telecast Saturday Night. Their fight was locked and all but loaded in early 2015 on HBO before Adonis tucked his nuggets inside his legs and walked away like an ugly woman for Showtime. Since then, he's fought garbage while Kovalev has fought the best he could get and discarded them. Adonis is one big piece of garbage.

I rate Caparello, Agnew, Mohammedi & Cleverly less than him, but they didn't really gave Kov a close fight.

Adonis knocked him down & Campillo outboxed him. Kovalev can do that aswell & end it in the first half.

I think Kovalev either stops him or wins every round.

Exactly. Thank you. Canadians are so blood thirsty for sports icon that they will look passed a stint in pimping to find one.

I believe that they both talked about June when they mentioned it.

I imagine that a large majority of Canadians don't know who he is and among those who do I've pretty much never seen anyone try to depict him as a sports icon, though he is a world class LHW and probably Canada's top boxer right now.

The shots he was eating for the first 6 rounds vs Cleverly tell me all I need to know.

Kovalev would be able to hit him and that's pretty much the end of the argument. He'd be unconscious within 4.

That's not saying much but I still can't wait for the day when Adonis is knocked out cold. I don't care who does it. It definitely won't be the cab drivers he's been fighting lately since signing with Showtime.

He walked right through them though.

You might be right about him not being able to walk through Kov's shots.
