Always felt this was coming to Imam. He has good power and looks good offensively. However the man has no defense and was always going to get exposed some time or another. back to the drawing board for him.

Talk about a boxer that needs to upgrade his corner. How Imam's handlers could let him continue to fight that type of fight is beyond me. Imam didn't even try to block a punch and had his hands down the entire fight and just let Granados hammer away at him. I don't want to take anything away from Granados because he's very likeable exciting boxer but let's be honest, Imam should have never lost this fight. The loss definitely sets Imam back quite a bit but in the long run, could be the best thing that ever happened to the kid. I hope he comes back strong.

No doubt Imam should have beaten Granados but i think it was one of those nights Granados would not be denied. After that KD in the first he actually started fighting better.

Granados could be undefeated, he has been in some really close fights. He was a VERY live dog going into that bout. All that said I did not think he would win, but a kid like that deserves a big win like that. I hope he makes the most of it.

Who the hell is Adrian Granat?

Both Imam and Granados are better known in the boxing world than whoever that guy is.

Adrian Granat would KO both of them probably, I wouldn't even be surprised if he would KO both of them if you let them both fight him at the same time (so two vs one).

Adrian Granat is a 260+ pound heavyweight with 9 fights, 9 wins and 8 KO's, he's a little over 6ft7.

Fact you don't know him tells me a lot and I'm sorry I'm not interested in two guys that would probably even lose a RL fight against me simply because they are too small.

Granados is a very likeable boxer. I've never seen him fight before Saturday and he popped in the ring with a huge smile on his face and right away I was rooting for him.

There must be something debilitating about knocking a guy down in the first round and not being able to finish them off. Because I've seen this happen so many times over the years of watching boxing. I don't know if it's because the fighter expends too much energy too early in the fight trying to get the guy out of there after knocking him down or what but it happens a lot and most of the time the guy that was knocked down, recovers and wins the fight somehow because the other is gassed out.

So you know a guy who isn't aswell Known in boxing than Imam and Granados and your questioning me?

Hahahaha

Again is this Granat guy better known than iman and Granados in the boxing world?

You knowing a nobody but not knowing more well known guys tells me all i need to know about you champ.

And yes sorry im not inetrested in a nobody who know one knows or gives a damn about.

Oh and on a side note HW boxing sucks and is in a horrendous state and has been for quite sometime now. HW's have nothing on the smaller guys just ask two lil guys named Mayweather and Pacquiao. ;;-)

Oh come on, over half the topics on the first page are about heavyweigths, who cares about a retired old drugsuser and some Asian who's probably going to retire soon as well.
All those dwarfs would lose against pretty much any heavyweight out there and you know it :S.

Ok i must be talking to a child because anyone with the slightest of boxing knowledge will tell you HW are not what they once were.

The reason you see those couple of post is cuz of the fight this past weekend that just happened to be an upset but sucked ass BADLY.

Just look at the current p4p list not a single HW on there.

Boxing is alive cuz of the smaller divisions.

The next boxing stars are Canelo, GGG, Crawford, Gonzalez none of those guys are HW's.

You get it yet?

No one cares about a big nobody who has faced nothing but bums. Or let me guess you must be related to the guy?

Get this through your head no one cares about that Swedish bum.

As for that "Asian" you mentioned well a lot of people cared about that lil guy so much that he's made more money than that Swedish bum can ever dream and was involved in the Biggest fight in boxing history.

Most HW's now dont have half the skill of the smaller guys. Most of them are just big, slow, robotic guys with no fluidity struggling to throw proper combinations, anyone not living under a rock could tell you that.

Now this forum is for real boxing fans why dont you run along and find a professional wrestling forum since your so ignorant to accept the fact that the smaller guys run boxing.

Boom, I enjoyed this rant so much that I punched my monitor. Couldn't be said better, KidBazooka. I'll go back to arguing with you on every other point but had to give credit where it was due.

Here in the UK I had a £80 accumulator the weekend to win £200. Thought it was printing money.

I had

Wlad
Alvarez
DeGale
Imram

The odds on the Imram part of the bet were basically to stick £12 on to win £1.....

The knock down in the first round was the worst thing that could have happened to Imam, because he started thinking the W was a forgone conclusion and started to neglect his boxing and look for that one KO punch.

Gotta tip my hat to Granados though, he recovered well and set a blistering pace round after round that Imam couldn't handle.
It's always refreshing to see an opponent who is brought in expected to lose but refuses to read the script. I hope he gets himself a big fight off the back of this, he deserves it.

A loss like this can either make or break a fighter, I feel it will be the latter for Imam, personally, but we will see.

Good to see the underdog win by grinding down the prospect and not get robbed by certain judges. Granado had some tough close losses against worthy opponents coming into the fight, the matchmakers should have paid more attention or perhaps they believed their own hype.
