Be nice to think that Vitali and big Lennox managed to catch-up over the weekend and had a beer and a chat.
They had a great fight and were two champs I had lots of time for.

Agree about the comments about the brothers....Wlad is the more explosive and has crunched people with two or three shots whilst Vitali was more likely to work people over with those salvos of heavy, thudding punches.

I am inclined to think that Vitali's ability to throw more, his less risk averse style and slightly nastier streak would have the better chance against Tyson...but just like Wlad he'd have to get close enough to do it and I could see him missing plenty as well.

Vitali before he retired was a lot less mobile than Wladimir so i cant imagine him being able to right Wlad's wrongs after however many years he's been out

Yeah. Not to drag up old news but i think that was actually the last good 'undisputed heavyweight title' fight. And lewis being outreached by a younger fresher man showed how a champion digs deep.

Now this is the only thing that scares me. I'm hoping that Wlad declines the rematch but the last thing that we need is Vitali now coming back. I just want a boxing world without any possible Klitschko. Is that so wrong?

Do I think he will come back? No.

Will I be shocked if he does? Not in the least.

Vitali has the better chin which would probably explain the better ko ratio, wlad shys away from punches wer as vitali will take them and throw his own. Wlad is the better boxer imo

That's where I am on it. I don't think he will, but it would not surprise me in the least if he does. I could see the look on his face during and after the bout--he was absolutely thinking about how much he wanted to fight Fury.

Ha ha, yeah! And I bet he is still in top shape too. Those two are always in top shape. He wants to beat up the guy who beat up his kid brother. Same look he had after the Corrie Sanders fight. If would be great if he came back and beat up Fury. Then Wlad could come back too, and the two of them could dominate the heavyweight boxing scene for another twenty years!

I can't imagine someone like Sosnowski lasting deep into a fight with Wlad if the latter were landing as often as Vitali did.
Significantly busier and more aggressive would be an important component against Fury, no? Since, well, ya know, Wlad threw 12 punches a round vs Tyson.
Wlad threw on average 19 punches per round against Fury and landed on average 4 per round.

Lewis should have been disqualified. He spent the whole fight deliberately opening up the cut on Vitali's face by rubbing the lacing of his glove in his face, and then opening up the cut by rubbing his steel wool hair and glove lacing into it. Vitali had never even been cut before, in his entire kickboxing and boxing career, or afterwards either.

Vitali's KO ratio should be even higher than it is, because he was cheated out of a TKO vs. the now brain damaged Briggs. I thought that Briggs' corner and the ref should have been arrested for attempted homicide for not stopping that fight.

John Fury would probably beat Lewis at this stage, let alone Tyson Fury beat Lewis. Such talk is insane and reminds one of ill advised come backs that Jim Jefferies and Joe Louis made.

Vitaly lost not only because of the cut but by the beating he was going to receive by Lewis, the only chnce Vitaly had was by going after Lewis and even at that he was beginning to falter. Guess people see the fight they want regardess of the outcome. I see a busted up vitaly ready for worse in the next few rounds if not stopped prematurely due to the cut.

I have never understood the people that say "IF IT WASN'T FOR THE CUT"
Hello!!!!! Lewis cut him bad.It is part of boxing nothing changes the outcome. If that fight went much longer Klitschko
could of been hurt permanently. It was a fair stoppage and Lewis won.Numerous fighters have lost because of cuts.We don't sit and
dwell on those fights for over a decade and say BUT IF. We accept it and move on.
It is time to move on Klitschko lost.

Vitali was slower than an arthritic snail three years ago, so he'd be cannon fodder for Fury if he came back now.

Vitali isn't fighting again, not if he has any sense & he appears to have plenty of that.
