Johnny Nelson: "Well he did what was expected of him, beating an inexperienced novice with little chance of winning, on a totally unmerited pay per view show for the Btitish title."

Adam: "Er Johnny Are you using the correct script? You seem to be confused about what a world beating, value for money PPV this was?"

Johnny: "oh sorry Adam I was reading from FW's next column... My mistake.." 'CLEARS THROAT'
" what a tremendously unexpected and powerful performance from Joshua! No one, but no one Adam expected this ending! This was a genuine 50/50 fight between two world class contenders, and what I have to say Adam is, what the PPV Sky viewers have seen is the birth of a LEGEND...."

Adam : "that's what I thought you wanted to say..... Now make sure you read your lines properly before the fight and get the right paperwork!"

Johnny : "Sorry Adam, please don't hit me again....."

I'm loving this little vignette that's developed with Adam and Johnny. Class. I can imagine it on a sketch show, with Andy Peters playing Johnny Nelson, and Ray Winstone as Adam Smith.

Hahahaha   but I reckon it will end up in a Hotel room, so may not be suitable before the watershed. I reckon Adam will be the top, and Johnny the bottom for sure....

i don't really like these pre fight interviews they just seem false to me more like wrestling but i guess if white had said i don't really mind him and i'm getting paid much more than i deserve it wouldn't make good TV.

same as it's just done better , before every floyd fight i'd watch them and start thinking manny/canelo has a good chance then the bell would go and after 30 second i'd think how did i let a show make me think this would be close :)

I thought it was OK, they clearly don't like each other and Nelson was bound to be more for Joshua. It will be a good payday for both and I can understand both mens point of view. Joshua looks a lot bigger and will most likely bomb Dillian out quick. I'm gonna cancel sky sports try and get it half price and probably pay the PPV.

Dillian Whyte is a feckin pleb, calling Joshua out for a street fight... One massive right hand down the pipe (with or without gloves) from Joshua and Whyte would be sent half way to jupiter.

Just watched this on youtube, the first one I have ever bothered. I tried a Kellerman one before and hated it.

Anyway my thoughts are:

- I imagine the production team must've had the world's biggest pair of forceps and a crane standing by so they could pull JOhnny out of Joshua's @rsehole once the interview had ended.
- Joshua looks seriously p1ssed off at Dillian, he almost had tears in his eyes restraining himself
- Johnny Nelson just doesn't know how to ask an incisive question, and he seems to ask the same question 3 or 4 times in the show

But overall I have to say I definitely enjoyed watching it, seeing the genuine needle....it has whetted my appetite for the fight. Not that I will be buying it. I may go fishing instead....

Watched last night. Reminded me very much of the Froch v Groves one, with Whyte in the role of Groves.

Felt almost identical to be honest. Whyte full of bluster and precious little to really back up his opinions of himself. Stuff like "I'm bigger, I'm faster, I've got a gameplan"... the usual things challengers say, then when challenged on it "Well we'll see on fight night won't we". Never any explanation.

Joshua looked like he went through a gamut of emotions. He looked bored at first, then like he was gonna cry, then pissed off. I think the best line of the show was when Joshua just seemed to have had enough and said "Yeah you'll take me past three rounds, and you'll live off that". Seemed to strike a chord, and probably exactly what will happen.

I'm no Joshua fanboy. I'd like to see him get roughed up and in a genuine fight with someone of a high(er) level, but that's for next year. This fight isn't it. It's a nothing fight.

As much as they want to build this as a big fight, it's going to be more standard Joshua fare, over and done in three, five absolute maximum.

Has Whyte ever been dropped in any of his fights? I'll admit I've not seen them all, it seems everyone seems to think he'll be done in 3 rounds.

i think Whyte really came across well in the interview where as AJ really did sound very PR savvy.

Nelson was terrible but AJ is the gravy train so its understandable.

Think AJ will win but id love to see Whyte ruff him up and maybe land a few.

Not to my knowledge.

I enjoyed the gloves are off. The needle is genuine in this one for me, certainly from Whyte. It was good to see a bit of emotion from Joshua even if it wasn't said you could see he was getting more and more wound up. I really hope it ends up being a decent scrap, I'd like to see at the very least Joshuas chin if not his stamina tested. Would also be great for learning more if Whyte can take a big shot off him and come back as currently for Joshua its a question of giving out the big shot and watching them do a silly dance/go down. If he's got amazing power then I guess it will continue happening even at higher levels, but got to be a chance its not quite as amazing as it seems.

Anyway I'd still love Whyte to win, he seems a good lad and the look on Hearns face would be a picture!!

Yeah I like both fighters and I do think AJ could be the future, like you say though it would be brilliant to see Eddies face if Whyte won.

Part of me wants to See Joshua and Connor McGregor both knocked out / defeated next weekend

I know there both better for the sports and keep an interest but part of me just likes to see masses of people disappointed

I get off on it a little bit :DDD

Nelson was terrible. He's been increasingly terrible for some time now in my opinion. Utter rubbish was his mediating (he had crawled very far up AJ's rectum).

Whyte clearly knows Joshua properly as a person so knew exactly what to say to get Joshua wound up.

I still can't see past a Joshua win. What I would like though is too see if Whyte can properly tag Joshua - see how Anthony's chin holds up.

I hope Dillian wins because I always like an underdog. And he has come up the traditional way. Joshua's been so well media trained he knows what to say. But he looked absolutely fuming in his eyes. Bring it on. I think Joshua will be tentative, because no matter how long ago, Whyte did get the better of him, and Whyte comes across so confidently. I think he will spend a few rounds sizing Dillian up and boxing him. The main thing I see in Joshua's favour is his height. He looks way bigger than Whyte, and I'm not sure Dillian will be able to get in close.

Nelson is always terrible & amateurish, Smith and Sky have an absolute blind spot in not seeing this.

Might be the first time AJ is a bit uncertain coming in to a fight, if Whyte is getting to him a bit..nerves could play a part here.

I'll catch it at the pub if anyone bothers showing it, no way I'm going PPV for this.

I reckon a fair few pubs will pick up on this actually, once sky hype goes into overdrive next week and people start asking in pubs. I know the usual places in London have already said they're showing it (ie a mate has conveniently decided to have his birthday drinks in Belushis as they're showing it).

Nelson gets on my tits a bit. Not professional enough in the way he does that anoying American accent all the time.

I've said this a few times on here and I'll say it again, they should get Nigel Benn to front the Ringside show. He'd make a great commantator. If he's well enough Frank Bruno as well to do something on it. He's much loved and both respected.

I couldn't really take to Carl Froch when he was boxing but he is an excellent pundit/commentator and he'd so very well in a head to head type show.
